Elmont high school honors Martin luther King Jr. Elmont Memorial High School students and staff joined local politicians and organizations to celebrate their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday in the school’s lunchroom. Beginning at noon, attendees sat sideby-side at tables for speeches, games and community service activities to honor MLK’s legacy and serve communities in need. Above, attendees began organizing boxes of nonperishable foods at one of the event’s community service stations, which would be donated to homeless families after the event.
