Chipping in for a greener Glen Cove The Beautification Commission, elected officials, the Department of Public Works and residents gathered early last Saturday morning for the city’s annual Chip-a-Tree event. The event collected 111 trees, which were loaded into a wood chipper and turned to mulch. The mixture will be used for the planting of flowers and trees throughout the city.
