Lending a hand to community members in need Ahead of Thanksgiving, Giving Back to Community Corp., a local organization that helps families in need in Valley Stream, Elmont and beyond, handed out turkeys and other traditional foods. The event aimed to ease the financial strain that often accompanies the holidays, offering neighbors a change to celebrate with dignity and a smile.
