Elmont trustees begin their new terms Elmont Public Library welcomed one of its two newest trustees on July 1, when Susan SaintJoy, right, was sworn into a fiveyear term. Sheldon Meikle, who was also elected trustee in May, had been sworn in last month. Also on July 1, the Elmont Union Free School District held its annual reorganization meeting, at which re-elected Board of Education Trustees Tiffany Capers and Angel Ramos, above, were sworn in to new terms and board leaders were elected for the 2026-27 school year.
