The streets of Babylon Village were a sea of green for the third annual Babylon Village St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 23. Participants dressed in festive outfits, hats, and sunglasses to get into the spirit of the event. Babylon Village officials are urging residents to slow down, stay alert, and drive courteously in a new initiative aimed at improving road safety. At a press conference on Wed., March 26, Mayor Mary Adams and Babylon School Superintendent Carisa Manza outlined the community’s Safe Driving Pledge in advance of Safe Driving Month in April. “There are many drivers in the Village, especially near our schools and on our main streets, who are reckless and distracted,” Adams said. “As a result, no one is safe. There is

no excuse for anyone—whether a child, a pet, or an adult—to suffer injury or worse due to

well-being of the children and everyone in the community.” Tom Parson, the district’s
