Marlene L. Denman, 70, of Richland Center died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1949 in Richland Center the daughter of Gaylord and Irene (Fuller) Denman. Marlene grew up in the Loyd area. She was united in marriage to Eugene Thompson and the couple had two children, Richard and Debra. Marlene later married Leroy Johnson. She enjoyed playing Aggravation, being outside with the sunshine on her face, dancing and listening to a wide assortment of music, from Johnny Cash to ZZ Top. Marlene loved being around her family and having gatherings. Marlene is survived by her children: Richard Thompson of Sextonville, Debra (Nick) Johnson of Hillsboro; Three grandsons: Cody (Samantha) Johnson, Curtis Johnson and Cole Johnson all of Richland Center; Two great-grandchildren: Milo and Nicole; Brothers and sisters: Donald Denman, Donnette (DJ) Denman, Kerby Denman, Paulette Luke, Rhonda (Nick) Mayberry; Two special great nephews: Haiden and Julien; Many other relatives and friends. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents Gaylord and Irene Denman, sisters Barbara Hauge and Gloria Carol Bower, and brothers Earl, Myron, Gary and Phil Denman. Marlene’s family would like to thank Agrace Hospice and all her caregivers for all of their love and care they have given to their mother. Mason Mark Fenton, age 16 of Richland Center died suddenly on Monday, April 26, 2021 due to injuries from a 4-wheeler accident. He was born on April 1, 2005, in Richland Center the son of Mark Patrick Fenton and Lyn Renae Schauer. Mason was a sophomore at Ithaca High School. He was close to earning his Eagle Badge in the Boy Scouts. Mason enjoyed spending time in the valley hunting, fishing, cars, and 4-wheeling. He also enjoyed baseball, basketball, video gaming, and spending time with family. Mason had a big heart and put everyone else first. Survivors include his father Mark Fenton (significant other Nichole Erdmann) of Richland Center; mother Lyn (Brent) Rieder of Lone Rock; 3 brothers, Brad (Bethany) Wegner of Richland Center, Bryant (significant other Taija) Wegner of Sextonville, Brent Wegner of Spring Green; a sister Megann Fenton of Richland Center; 5 step siblings Austin, Kenny, Heather, Joanne, and Alex; 2 aunts Mary (Kelly) Stowell of Richland Center and Angie Mueller of Beaver Dam; special friends Zach, Zayden, Brodie, Connor, Sam, Sam and the other Sam, Lexi, and many more close friends; 3 nephews and nieces Gavin, Addison, and Erik Wegner; several cousins Bailey (Collin) McCulloch, Spencer, Campbell, and Ben Stowell, Skye and Reanna Schauer, Reid Mueller, Chase, Hope, and Angel Schauer. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Patrick and Sharon Fenton; maternal grandparents Larry and Carol Schauer; an uncle Erik Schauer. Funeral Service was held on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center with Monsignor Roger Scheckel officiating. Burial was held at Dayton Corners Cemetery in Dayton Township. Visitation was on Sunday, May 2, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Helen L. Ferge, 86, of Lone Rock, died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her home. She was born on January 30, 1935 the daughter of Gilbert and Blanche (Breneman) Kanzenbach. Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed doing crafts, word searches, collecting angels, and watching the Atlanta Braves. She always looked forward to spending time in Cable, WI at the cabin they stayed at with friends. Helen is survived by her children Daniel (Gerri) Ferge of Grand Marsh, Donald (Lilia) Hansen of Plainfield, Pam Kiern of Wisconsin Dells, Patti (Glenn) Howen of Wisconsin Dells; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, loving friend Russell Hansen, two sons: Edward Ferge, Russell D. Hansen; son-in-law Robert Kiern, ex-husband Richard Ferge, and siblings. Helen’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Jeni Hicks and Nancy Schwersenska.
