Survivors include her father John Schmidt of Boscobel; a daughter Amanda Schmidt; 3 brothers, Ron (Cathy) Grassman of La Crosse, WI, Kurt (Georgia) Grassman of Bear Valley, WI, Fred Schmidt of Monona, Iowa; a sister, Yvonne (Paul) Barth of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Schmidt and her brother, Greg Grassman. April 2, 2020 William B. Gies, 87, of Yuba, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his home. He was born in Dayton Township, Richland County on January 24, 1933 the son of Herbert G. and Rita A. (Welsh) Gies. Bill graduated from Richland Center High School. He ran the family farm near Boaz for several years. Bill worked in the Timber Industry for many years. Bill was an avid deer and racoon hunter and loved to fish. He always enjoyed the company of a dog or two. Bill was always in a good mood. Bill is survived
by two sisters: Mary Grimm of Muscoda, Rosie (Robert) Fritz of Prairie du Sac; two brothers: Donald (Mary) Gies of Janesville, Tom (Donna) Gies of Boaz; nieces and nephews: Margie Billings, Patty (Bob) Ambrose, John Grimm, Jerry Grimm, Martha (Rich) Bertrang, Kevin (Julie) Gies, Brian Gies, Jeff (Noel) Fritz, Julie (Ethan) Sironi, Kerry (Jenny) Gies; his wife of 49 years: Kay Gies; step children: Tina (Max) Gundlach, Tamara (Randy) Duvall, David (Tammy) Noerr, Robert (Beverly) Noerr, Kristen (Tom) Milici;12 step grandchildren, 25 step great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. WILLIAM “BILL” RAY RINABARGER June 3, 2020 William “Bill” Ray Rinabarger, age 57, of Blue River, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Gundersen Boscobel Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1962, in Dodgeville, WI, the son of William and Leila (Ellis) Rinabarger. Bill married the love of his life Jeanne B. Scott on June 9, 2001. He was a goofy guy with an infectious laugh and loved to pull pranks. Once you got to know him he was a big teddy bear, tough on the outside soft on the inside. Bill had a great way with animals; he always said he was better with animals than people. He is survived by his wife Jeanne Rinabarger of Blue River, WI; daughter Billie Jo Rinabarger (Luke Kluever) of Madison, WI; father Bill (Patti) Rinabarger of Barefoot Bay, Florida; mother Lee Scott of Helena, Montana; 2 brothers, Chris Rinabarger (Monica Guthrie) of Billings, Montana, Brian (Dottie) Rinabarger of Helena, Montana; several brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, and a great nephew; and his dog Leia.
