During the physical exam the veterinarian will quickly learn your pet’s attitude and may suggest they would benefit from an anti-anxiety medication to get them to and through their next visit; these are prescribed for your pet to “take the edge off” the fear and anxiety they might have associated with visiting the vet and make the experience more comfortable for you, your pet, and staff. There is not one perfect technique that works for every animal, it’s the combination and team effort that really makes for happy pets and appointments.
