OTIS STANFORD SAMPSON 1898—1918 Otis Stanford Sampson was born September 7, 1898, to Andrew and Belle Sampson. Otis died at the Battle of Meuse-Argonne in France during WWI at the age of 19. The Meuse-Argonne battle represented the largest frontline commitment of troops by the U.S. Army in WWI and also the deadliest. The battle took place northwest of the town of Verdun, between the 26th of September and 11th of November 1918. Otis was the first Stoughton native to be killed during WWI in 1918. After his death, American Legion Post 59 was named in his honor.
The Four Pillars of the American Legion are: Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation; National Security; Children and Youth and Americanism. Our members fulfill these pillars every day by visiting hospitalized veterans, helping with repairs to disabled and activated veterans homes, hosting the annual Memorial Day Parade and Program, visiting students at schools, visiting homebound and nursery home veterans. With YOUR support, we will provide these and more services for another hundred years.

A. The best answer for athletes is to do both, however if asked to pick one I would say it is better for athletes to receive massage as soon after their event as possible. Post event Massage Therapy helps facilitate and shorten the Jill Unwin, Lee Unwin, recovery process. It helps keep the muscles infused with DC, CCEP BCMT, CSCS oxygenated and nutrient rich blood; this keeps the muscles from becoming knotted and stiff, which allows you to be less sore and tight the days following your event. The exception to this choice depends on how you are feeling the days before your event. Should you feel like your legs are heavy or your body is generally tight from training then I would recommend a pre-event massage so that you can get your legs refreshed and the muscles loosened so that you can go into your event feeling the best you can possibly feel.
