September Closures Notice
By order of the Iowa County Highway Department; County Trunk Highway A west of Sandhill Road, CTH J south of the Spurley farm at Fire Number 1881, and CTH H south of Ridgeway but north of McSherry-Nihles road will experience daytime closures during the weeks of September 3rd and September 10th , 2018 for culvert replacement. This work will consist of daytime road closures between the hours of 7AM and 3PM for culvert replacements. The work will occur at the following locations: Tuesday/Wednesday September 4th and 5th on CTH H south of Ridgeway between Prairie Grove Road and McSherry-Nihles Road. Thursday/Friday September 6th/7th on CTH J between CTH X and Avenell Road in the Town of Linden. On Monday/ Tuesday September 10th/11th on CTH A between Sandhill Road and Cook-McFall Road in the Town of Mifflin. The Highway Department will be removing and replacing various roadway culverts. The roadway will be impassable at these locations during the daytime hours of 7AM and 3PM. The road closure work should be completed in its’ entirety prior to Wednesday September 12th , 2018. Commencing on September 17th, 2018 CTH E will be closed to thru traffic between CTH G to Rewey and CTH G in Mifflin for roadway repairs. The Department will pulverize and repave 2 miles of CTH E between the CTH G intersections in the township of Mifflin. CTH E will be closed to all thru traffic between September 17th and October 15th. Also, commencing on Monday September 17th thru Thursday September 20th , CTH A will be reduced to one lane of traffic under flagger control between the hours of 6AM and 4PM. The approaches to the twin bridges at the Pecatonica River crossing will be removed and replaced during this timeframe. The crossings will remain as a gravel surface thru the first week of October. Clean the downspouts You can use a hose to rinse the gutters and send water through the downspouts. You may need to use a chimney or pipe-cleaning brush to further clear the downspouts. Rake up and remove any debris that you remove from the spouts and gutters. Install leaf guards on the gutters. A growing trend to prevent more falling leaves from accumulating and undoing your hard work is to install leaf guards on the gutters. They are relatively inexpensive and can be installed easily without professional help depending on the size and height of the task at hand. Inspect your gutters. Be sure to seal any small cracks in your gutters with a sealant or strong adhesive. If you have

Panic disorder is one such condition and can be especially problematic because of the seeming spontaneity of panic attacks. The Anxiety and Depression Association of America notes that roughly 3 percent of Americans experience panic disorder, or PD, in a given year. While that might seem like a small percentage, it still translates to nearly 10 million people, many of whom may benefit from taking the time to understand PD.

What is PD?
The ADAA says panic disorder is diagnosed in people who experience spontaneous panic attacks. These people are preoccupied with the fear of a recurring attack.
What is a panic attack?
A panic attack is the abrupt onset of intense fear or discomfort. Panic attacks peak within minutes and are characterized by a host of symptoms, not all of which must be present to qualify an incident as a panic attack. Attacks occur unexpectedly and may even cause sufferers to awake from sleep.
Can anyone have PD?
No one is immune to PD, though some people are more likely to experience PD than others. The ADAA notes that panic disorder is twice as common in women than in men. While even children can have panic disorder and may experience panic-like symptoms, PD typically begins in adults age 20 or older.
What are the symptoms of a panic attack?

Various symptoms are associated with panic attacks. But the ADAA notes that not all symptoms linked to panic attacks must be present to confirm an attack. Treatment of anxiety disorders can be highly effective and can even help people deal with other disorders, as the ADAA says nearly one-half of people diagnosed with depression are also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. People living with anxiety disorders who seek treatment may find they also are suffering from depression, compelling them to receive treatment for that disorder as well and further improving their quality of life.
