About 18 months ago I was prescribed Gabapentin for nerve pain and was told to begin a regiment of physical therapy and other potential remedies for my pain. Eventually the prescription was increased to a higher dose, and more often per day. Nothing seemed to be improving the pain I was going through. I had previously had two less than desirable experiences with chiropractors, but had been researching and reading the reviews about Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic, and decided to take a chance as a last resort. The doctors at the clinic listened to me explain my fears and very respectfully honored my request not to be very aggressive with care, or surprise me with anything they would do. He explained everything to me that he was going to do before he did it, and has gained my trust and respect in the process. There has certainly been improvement in the nerve pain, and a great improvement in flexibility. This process is a work in progress, and I am confident that with time, my pain will be gone. I recommend Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic, especially for people that have said ‘they will never go to another chiropractor again.’ I was wrong. You should give it another try with this clinic. Prevent Deck Problems Before They Start Check the posts Especially at the ground line, probe various parts of the post comparing each side for levels of decay. Since posts often decay from the inside out, continue to assess the internal condition. Evaluate the post connection to the foundation and re-secure if needed. Check the decking The easiest part of the inspection is checking the decking. Look at the area where boards meet because anywhere that wood touches wood is prone to rotting. Look at the ends of the boards and the butt joints. Check for moisture and mildew and tighten nails or screws in the decking. Look for signs of warping or twisting which would eventually need to be replaced.

It will produce enough pressure to cause significant damage to any surface including concrete, stone and brick. High pressure power washing machines, even small electric power washers, can cause serious, irreversible damage when not used properly. Pressure Washing and Power Washing can and will damage soft surfaces such as vinyl, paint, wood, and shingles if not done correctly. Solution - Specialized Accessories & Techniques have been developed to create what is called Soft Washing or Soft Wash. This involves the use of a variety of cleaning solutions to lift and remove the contaminants from siding, roofing and paving materials. The process consists of applying a cleaning solution & then rinsing away the unwanted material while using only LOW PRESSURE. The low pressure is similar to that of a garden hose. Soft washing is safe for use on dryvit, EIFS, stucco, vinyl, aluminum, wood and just about every other siding material. In the 1970’s, Ron and Pat’s son Al and his wife Dianne, joined and further expanded the business. Al and Dianne purchased Black’s Floor Covering in 1983 and continue to offer both residential and commercial floor covering. Al and Dianne’s sons, Keith and Brandon, have since joined the business, making them the 4th generation to be part of Black’s Floor Covering. In addition to being business owners, the Blacks’ are also heavily involved in the community. Both Ron and AL were members of the Darlington Fire Dept. Ron joined in 1960 with son Al joining in 1978. This year marks Al’s 40th year as a member of the volunteer fire department. The Blacks’ are also active members of Darlington Chamber/Main Street and have served as members of the Darlington Canoe Festival committee. In 2016, Al and Dianne, along with son Brandon and daughter-in-law Alana, purchased Murph’s Furniture on Main St. and remodeled and renamed their new venture, Main Furniture & Home. This furniture expansion brings the Blacks’ back to where they started in the 1950’s, in the flooring and furniture business. By adding Main Furniture to their existing Black’s Floor Covering business, they are attracting customers from all over the Tri-State area. Dianne along with Alana keep up on all the latest trends, have a great decorating eye and offer custom orders, while Al and the boys do all the flooring installations and furniture deliveries with a friendly smile. They have years of experience in both residential and commercial projects and give you that personal, friendly service that has lasted through generations.

The United States Championship Cheese Contest, hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Markers Association, recently announced the winners of their 2019 Cheese Contest, awarding Shullsburg Creamery’s Cheesemaker Arthur “Bill” Stocker both a “Best of Class - Gold” and a “Third Place – Bronze” for his Marbled Curd Cheese. Far from a novice in the industry, Bill Stocker began his cheese making career when he was nine years old, working alongside his father, Arthur Stocker Sr., in the original Shullsburg Creamery Cheese Factory, which was built in 1937. Arthur Stocker, Sr. purchased Shullsburg Creamery in 1972 from the founder, Tony Peterson, a native of Denmark. Shullsburg Creamery, under the direction of the Stocker family, grew the business 100-fold over the next 30 years and sold assets to Midwest Dairymen’s Cooperative in 2006. Today, Shullsburg Creamery is proudly owned by 100 family dairy farms and continues to manufacture, market and distribute its fine cheese throughout the Midwest and beyond. This year’s contest experienced a record-breaking 2,555 entries. A team of 60 elite cheese judges evaluated entries from 35 states based on technical merits, including flavor, texture, appearance, and taste. Awards were presented at the event’s annual convention on April 18 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The U.S. Championship Cheese Contest, initiated in 1981, is the nation’s premier technical cheese, butter, and yogurt competition and this year marks the 20th biennial event.
