Ruby’s Pantry Call For Volunteers:

Volunteers are needed for the Food Distribution planned for May 7th. To sign up to volunteer, please go to Ruby’s Pantry web site at https:// www.rubyspantry.org/become-volunteer to fill out an application by April 24th. This application will be forwarded to Deb Putnam and a simple background check will occur. If possible, volunteers are asked to provide their own masks and gloves. Volunteers must also wear close toed shoes or tennis shoes. No sandals, open toed shoes or flip flops. Following social distancing guidelines, distribution will be outside. Many of the volunteer jobs do require some lifting. Ruby’s Pantry also cautions that if you have “underlying health conditions”, you should probably not volunteer at this time. Ruby’s Pantry of the Platteville United Methodist Church will decide in late April if they have enough volunteers to proceed.

Mary Lou Broske has made a second investment in the event center at Legion Park that doubles her earlier investment. In making the announcement Sheri Engelke, chair of the event center committee, noted, “We are incredibly grateful to accept this very significant additional donation. We appreciate Mary Lou’s commitment to Platteville and to seeing to the completion of this facility. We look forward to working with Mary Lou to honor Bill, who gave so very much to our region. We are also honored to name the entire building in honor of Bill and Mary Lou. Henceforth, we will refer to the facility as the William (Bill) and Mary Lou Broske Center at Legion Park.” Engelke continued noting, “The fund raising for the Broske Center at Legion Park continues. At present cash donations, pledges, grants and inkind donations total $1,106,700. The anticipated final cost of the facility is $1,120,000.” Amenities that will make the facility truly special that have been funded include the outfitting of the kitchen space, the sound system and hearing loop, new tables & chairs for the interior, new picnic tables for the attached open air space, and a stone façade for the front of the building. Those items yet to be funded include handicap accessible doors, upgraded landscaping, TV’s, and snow roof guards. Of special note: any donations that are in excess of the cost of the facility will be used for improvements adjacent to the facility; these may include a rustic gazebo, play equipment, and additional landscaping. A community open house will be held as soon as it is safe to do so. The facility is ‘on schedule’ for completion around May 1. The current pandemic and its associated ‘safe practices’ have resulted in a postponement of a mid-May opening. Reservations for the Broske Center at Legion Park are being received by the City of Platteville Parks Department (see https://www.platteville.org/ recreation/page/shelter-reservations for details) at (608) 348-9741 during weekday hours between 8am and 4:30pm. If you want to support the event center, all donations are helpful - $10 to $250,000 and anywhere in between. Adding your name to the entrance kiosk would send a great message of this community collaboration to future Platteville generations. I decided to come to Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic after numerous times at other health care providers without any results. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled technical and maintenance duties in the operation, maintenance and repair of machines, mechanical equipment, and/or building structures.

What You’ll Do at Saputo

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on equipment, to include, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to equipment. • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. • Read, understand, and use blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to complete repairs on machine PLC’s, wiring, and components. • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment
