A friend told me to try going to Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic for help but I chose not to because of the distance from Fennimore. I could only sit for a few minutes and the drive would have been very difficult with the pain that I was having in my low back and leg. I was at a point where I thought surgery was the only option but I definitely did not want that. I felt like I was on a roller coaster with my pain and ability to get around. There were times I didn't want to leave the house because I did not want people to see how I walked. Finally after another recommendation to go to Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic, I decided to go...with some hesitancy and uncertainty. Low and behold, I wish I would have come 6 ½ years ago. I felt results almost immediately, but after only 4 weeks, I feel like a brand new person. I am moving better, able to be in a car, gaining strength in my foot, and the numbness and tingling is starting to go away. The doctors at Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic have given me hope that I will again be able to walk more than one time around the block and start exercising again. There were some times in that first few weeks that I was not sure if it would help. The reassurances given to me have paid off, and I am headed back to a more normal life. If you are considering going to see these doctors, do not hesitate like me... I wish I would have come in a long time ago.

Legion Park Event Center Update Thanks to the many who have embraced this project to bring a climate-controlled, year-round space for family reunions, birthday and graduation parties, weddings, business meetings, corporate parties, auctions, community festivals, and other events to Legion Park in Platteville. Fundraising is going very well. Our goal for the base building is $600,000 and we have monies and/or pledges for approximately 75% of the goal. Sheri Engelke, chair of Legion Park Event Center Committee, shares, “The dedicated members of our event center team have been holding preliminary informational meetings with contractors as well as visiting contractor build sites, checking with past customers and reviewing initial quotes. From that effort, our team has identified two primary construction candidates. The requested design and specifications have been provided to these contractors; and our team will be meeting in the next couple of weeks to make a final selection of the contractor. Approximately 30 days after contractor selection, we will be inviting the public to join the contractor and our team for a complete review of the planned project.” It should be noted that the construction timetable now calls for a groundbreaking in association with 2019 Dairy Days Contributing to this decision: the many events held in Legion Park through the summer; the wettest fall (2018) in recent history; the snowiest winter some can remember with projections of flooding; the 6 to 8 week timetable to approve plans and $600K in committed funds prior to contract signing [NOTE: the sooner the contract is executed, the better. Steel and lumber prices (like gasoline) are increasing daily]. To paraphrase a much used quote, “Now is the time for all to come to the aid of our community.” Follow the great leadership shown by the volunteers leading this initiative and the many wonderful contributors. Join us now and be identified as a community collaborator. Donations of any size are important whether it is $10, $500, $2,500, $5,000 or more. Mad City Wheelchair Sports Mad City Wheelchair Sports, Inc. is a non-profit organization that currently supports the Mad City Badgers Youth Wheelchair Basketball Team. The organization and team strive to provide youth with lower mobility impairments the opportunity to participate in competitive adaptive sports. Many youth with physical disabilities are unable to compete with their non-disabled peers. Our organization’s mission is to give these youth opportunities to experience what it is like to be members of sports teams and compete in athletic competitions like their peers do through school and club teams. For youth with physical disabilities, our wheelchair basketball team is the equivalent to a high school team. The major difference is that it is not funded by counties or school districts. For that reason, families of our athletes put on demonstrations of wheelchair basketball to not only educate school districts and the public about athletes with disabilities but to fundraise the cost of the program. Some of these costs include, but are not limited to: entry fees to all tournaments, gym use rental fees, uniforms, basketballs, membership with the NWBA (National Wheelchair Basketball Association) and equipment.
