Eligible businesses may be able to receive grant funds from the program in order to assist those businesses with operating expenses incurred or paid after March 15, 2020 and before January 6, 2022. Grants will be given to qualifying businesses in the order they are received as long as funds remain. Applications will be taken from 9:00am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 and run until 4:00pm on Monday, January 31,2022. Businesses will be notified within 3 weeks of application.
To be eligible for grant funds under the Program, Richland County businesses must meet the following requirements please review full guidelines and eligibility requirements on the Chamber website below: The business may be a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation (both S and C), professional association, limited liability company, limited partnership, or limited liability partnership, or a non-profit. Eligible businesses must have experience at least a 10% loss of revenue in 2020 or 2021 compared to 2019. Eligible businesses must fit within the NAICS codes for one of the following categories: food/beverage, tourism/lodging, entertainment venue. The business, or headquarters for the business, must be located within Richland County. The business must have been in operation prior to January 31, 2020. The business must not be permanently closed and must intend to continue its business operations following the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses cannot be a non-franchised publicly traded company. The business must not be in receivership or bankruptcy. Grants range from $10,000 - $30,000 depending on calculated loss of revenue.
