Green Room Gallery & Productions will be hosting an Outdoor Gallery Exhibition, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the film ‘The Shawshank Redemption’. Twenty-four pieces of art will be selected and printed on vinyl to be installed on frames in the Downtown Mansfield Central Park. This artwork is inspired by The Shawshank Redemption movie, where artists from the region with different styles and backgrounds are working on creating this beautiful collection. The public and the visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of live music, will get the chance to meet with the artists and experience more of Mansfield’s creative work. Green Room Gallery (14 S. Park St.) which is right across from Central Park will have all the original artwork from this collection including artwork from international movie fan artists. The opening event is on Friday-August 16th from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. You may have noticed the art frames in Central Park already, which were installed as a part of the Dazzle with Daffodils exhibition. These frames will be displaying The Shawshank Redemption collection during that 25th Anniversary Event. Another goal of this project is for the artwork in these art frames to continue to rotate each season, with a new artwork collection each time.
