Evidence-based methods form the backbone of RHA's services. Each program takes approaches that have been shown through clinical research to help people recover, whether for adolescents experiencing behavioral crises, adults managing serious mental illness, or individuals addressing substance use disorders. Getting people back into everyday community life is a key goal. Programs help people build the practical skills they need to live more independently and make meaningful connections with others, right in their own neighborhoods and surroundings. Multidisciplinary, person-centered approaches drive treatment planning. We recognize that mental health affects all parts of life. RHA addresses the physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person's situation through coordinated expertise that aligns with each person's specific circumstances and personal recovery goals.

RHA’s four services in residential behavioral health create supportive environments designed to enhance well-being and improve quality of life.
Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) CRR partners with adults to rebuild independence and reclaim their lives. We see each person's strengths first, not their struggles. In home-like environments, residents work toward personal goals with support for daily living, health management, and social connections. CRR empowers people to write their own stories of recovery and create the life they envision, because everyone deserves the chance to thrive.

SPECIALIZED CARE AND SUPPORT
Residential Program for Ages 65+ This program addresses behavioral health, mobility, and health challenges for people 65 and older. In supportive environments, trained staff help residents maintain independence through community living skills, activity support, meal preparation, medication management, and activities. Our trauma-informed approach provides care while respecting each person's dignity and choices, honoring the need for purpose and meaningful community connection.

Long-Term Structured Residence and Personal Care Homes
Supported Living Program
In our structured, trauma-informed, home-like environments, residents receive comprehensive support including medication management, assistance with daily activities, meals, therapy, crisis support, transportation, and leisure activities.
This transitional program empowers adults with serious and persistent mental illness to transition toward independent community living.
Our approach empowers people to live as independently as possible while providing care that ensures dignity, comfort, and community connection, recognizing the right to safety, belonging, and the chance to flourish.
RHA provides person-centered, individualized mental health services in a structured recovery environment designed for adults 18 and older. Our staff work alongside residents to develop the skills and confidence needed for independent community engagement, understanding that each person's recovery journey is unique and non-linear.

ABOUT DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING SERVICES
PAHrtners Deaf Services, a program by RHA Health Services, offers a wide-range of behavioral, developmental and therapeutic support programs to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
Blended Case Management (BCM) for Children and Adults Case managers help people access and manage medical, social, and educational services while also working on socialization, and when appropriate, support their independent living skills.
Outpatient Therapy for Children and Adults Outpatient services are available in Glenside. These services may include psychiatric evaluations and medication management conducted by board-certified psychiatrists,

Supported Living Housing
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS)
Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR)
The goal is to provide adults with a community-based home that offers the level of care needed while promoting independence and teaching essential living skills.
PRS, also called the Day Program, is designed specifically for Deaf adults navigating mental health challenges. Through group therapy and psychoeducational sessions, we work on managing emotions, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and self-advocacy.
CRR partners with adults to rebuild independence and reclaim their lives. We see each person's strengths first, not their struggles.
Care is overseen by an interdisciplinary treatment team that includes the person served, residential support staff, case management, therapeutic and psychiatric services, nursing, and family members.
Participants connect with a peer community while developing skills in language and literacy, vocational abilities, and daily living. The program provides flexible, culturally appropriate support.
