Sprouts Farmers Market Opens Its Doors at Lincoln Center Lincoln Center reached an exciting milestone in July with the grand opening of Sprouts Farmers Market, the center's new anchor store. The highly anticipated opening brought an incredible turnout from the community, signaling a bright future for both Sprouts and Lincoln Center. Excitement was evident from the start of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, as the line of eager shoppers wrapped around the building, ready to be among the first to experience the new store. The first 200 customers were welcomed with a complimentary Sprouts tote bag, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. Founded in 2002, Sprouts Farmers Market has grown into a leading specialty grocery retailer known for offering fresh, natural, and organic products at affordable prices. Their commitment to healthy living and community engagement makes them a perfect fit for Lincoln Center and the Bear community. We are thrilled to welcome Sprouts to Lincoln Center and look forward to the continued growth and new opportunities this exciting addition will bring. The energy surrounding opening day is just the beginning, and we're excited about what the future holds for Lincoln Center.

We also want to recognize Joe Lodge and Oscar Moratin-Topia from our maintenance team for helping the busy event run smoothly from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a wild success! We appreciate the teamwork and enthusiasm that made this event a memorable one for our residents and visitors.

Lincoln Center Update Construction is moving forward at Lincoln Center! Framing has begun on the final building in Phase One, with curbs and roads on track for completion by mid-September. Throughout the townhome community, sidewalks and front porches are also being installed, bringing these new homes one step closer to completion. On the commercial side, plans for the retail space between Sprouts and the townhomes continue to move through the design and approval process, with approvals anticipated in October.
St. Andrews Community Center Opens St. Andrews welcomed a new addition to the community in July with the opening of its new Community Center. The center provides a welcoming space to enjoy a variety of activities. The new facility features a multipurpose fitness area, meeting rooms, a yoga studio, and a kitchen, giving residents plenty of options to stay active and engaged. The center officially opened with a community open house on July 18, giving residents an opportunity to explore the new space and celebrate this exciting addition. We look forward to seeing the Community Center become a favorite gathering place for St. Andrews residents!
Ascot Landing Clubhouse Refresh The Ascot Landing clubhouse has received a fresh new look! The updated space features comfortable new furniture, board games, books for all ages, and a cozy coffee station, creating a welcoming place to relax and connect. The refresh also extends outdoors, with new seating on the deck for residents to enjoy. Whether they’re gathering with neighbors for a game night, enjoying a cup of coffee, or settling in with a good book, the refreshed clubhouse offers something for everyone. The updated space will provide a great setting for future resident events at Ascot Landing.
Labor Day Celebration Labor Day is a time to recognize the contributions and achievements of workers, and we celebrated with some good food and even better company! Our September 9 BBQ brought everyone together for lunch from the Ennis BBQ truck, ice cream from Mister Softee, and a little friendly competition on the cornhole boards. With plenty of great conversation and a fantastic turnout, it was a fun way to enjoy the day together and celebrate the people who keep Reybold moving forward.
IT Department Update from Joel Michalec The opening of the new St. Andrews Community Center has created an exciting new gathering place for residents and an opportunity for Reybold to expand the activities and programs offered within the community. As part of that effort, I was recently asked to step a little outside my normal role as Reybold’s Director of IT and host a monthly Tech Talk for St. Andrews residents. Beginning in September, I’ll spend an hour on the second Tuesday of each month at the Community Center discussing everyday technology topics in an informal, approachable setting. Conversations may range from online safety and avoiding scams to smartphones, smart devices, artificial intelligence, and those everyday technology questions that somehow never come with an easy answer. For me, it’s an opportunity to share some of what I’ve learned over the years in a different way. More importantly, it’s another example of how the new Community Center can bring people together and create opportunities for Reybold to engage with our residents beyond their homes. I’m looking forward to being a small part of what we build there.
Wellness Corner: Advice from Meritain Health on Managing Stress High stress levels can have a negative effect on your health Stress is a normal part of everyone’s life. It’s the result of a natural process, classically referred to as a fight or flight response, where your body decides to stay and fight impending danger or run from it. When you are put in a stressful situation, your heart rate and blood flow increase, getting your body ready to deal with a crisis. Your body is suddenly energized and better equipped to complete the task being asked of it. In this way, occasional stress can be good. When your body is constantly faced with demands— mental, physical or emotional—chronic stress begins to take hold. Chronic stress can lower your immune system and lead to heart problems. It can worsen conditions such as type 2 diabetes, asthma or gastrointestinal problems. Chronic stress can also lead to depression and anxiety, alcohol and tobacco use, poor eating habits and trouble sleeping. Take steps to lower your stress level Prioritize. At the beginning of your day, review what you need to do, and prioritize what has to be done, what could be done and what can wait. Learn to say no if you can’t reasonably accomplish an additional task. Talk. Bottling things up can add to your stress. Open up and talk to your closest friends or family members. Also consider talking with a therapist, doctor or church member, depending on the nature of the issue. Count to 10. This simple task can help you to clear your head. Breathe deeply and close your eyes while you do this. Exercise. Exercise is a natural stress reliever that releases endorphins into your bloodstream. Endorphins are chemicals that help your body to reduce stress. Also, exercise boosts immunity, among many other health benefits. Get enough sleep. Going to bed on time helps you feel refreshed and awake the next day. A lack of sleep can cause you to feel more stressed and make it difficult to concentrate. If your stressors are preventing you from falling asleep, try a relaxing activity to help you feel sleepy, such as deep breathing, stretching or reading. Meditation, yoga and Pilates. All three of these methods help promote deep breathing and becoming more in tune with your body. Take classes at your local gym, buy a DVD or stream classes online. Each are relaxing, and yoga and Pilates can help with strength and flexibility, as well.
