The best ones tend to begin the moment a plan is set aside, when a guide points out a ridge that was not on the route, or a captain decides the wind is too good to waste on the scheduled harbour. It is a small act of surrender that, more often than not, becomes the story a traveller tells for years afterward. That instinct shaped every choice in these pages. On a wooden gulet drifting between Greek islands with no fixed hour to be anywhere, the destination matters less than the willingness to be redirected by a better cove. Sara D'Errico did not discover event design so much as inherit it. Her grandmother spent a lifetime managing one of Italy's finest neoclassical villas, and it was there that Sara first absorbed how atmosphere is actually built: through styling, floral work, and an exacting sense of etiquette that was passed down at close range rather than taught in a classroom. After several years studying and working in London, she returned to Puglia and founded her own destination wedding agency, now working as an Event Creator and Wedding Planner across some of the region's most sought-after properties. She designs and plans exclusive weddings and celebrations, curating every element from concept through to execution: developing a mood board, selecting a colour palette with a trusted circle of creative partners and suppliers, and building bespoke floral installations that guests consistently describe as the most striking element of the day.
