The Retired Teachers’ Association of Manitoba operates in the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dene and Métis people.
Our office is located on Treaty One Territory and in the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Our work extends throughout Treaties 2, 3, 4, and 5, with Members residing outside of Manitoba on Treaties 4, 6, 7, 8 and 10, which include Alberta, Saskatchewan and small parts of Western Manitoba, and in British Columbia where there are 203 First Nations.
We respect the Treaties made on these Territories. We dedicate ourselves to move forward with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration to make Manitoba and other provinces where our members reside inclusive and accessible places for everyone.
