Wreaths of Unity To kick off Black History Month, students from San Jose Episcopal Day School created unity wreaths. These wreaths represent the coming together of different cultures, symbolizing unity and togetherness.
During the Southside Branch Library’s fifth anniversary meeting in 1955, Joseph F. Marron, chief librarian of the Jacksonville Public Library, is congratulated by Dr. Frank G. Slaughter, main speaker at the anniversary meeting; J. L. Dart, library trustee; George W. Martin; Carl V. Cesary; H. P. Osborn, library trustee; L. E. Hakes, former city councilman, and Dr. C. D.
