A Look Back, a Century Forward Honoring San Marco’s first steps
Architectural History” at Aspire Church San Marco on Thursday, May 8. This ticketed event was hosted by San Marco Preservation Society and the San Marco Centennial Committee and Wood engaged more than 100 guests both with the intriguing story of this centuryold community and fascinating photos of a neighborhood evolving over the years. For those who were unable to attend this event, Resident News is launching a George Foote, Dr. Wayne Wood and Robin Robinson with Pat Andrews, Fred Lambrou and David Paulk after Wood’s May four-part series telling the history of San 8 presentation about San Marco’s architectural history. Marco as we celebrate this milestone, Jacksonville historian Dr. Wayne time as he told the story of San Marco 100th anniversary of this beloved Wood led guests on a journey through during his presentation of “San Marco’s Jacksonville gem.
A special dedication was held to celebrate the contributions of the Landon Alumni Association, April 25. Today’s student leaders, faculty and staff welcomed alumni to tour classrooms, walk hallways and enjoy a special program in honor of their contributions. READ MORE ON PAGE 43

mission of providing shelter, meals, and support for families in need. Mead spearheaded the club after realizing the impact Wolfson students could have on unhoused families and children. Through this initiative, Wolfson students hosted an Easter event with the nonprofit for unhoused families to ensure each child attending received an Easter basket and enjoyed some holiday fun.
Nearly 5,000 students traveled to Florida to compete in this three-day event, held May 9 to 11.
