Dear Friends,

The most impactful work we do isn’t always the most visible—but it’s the work that changes everything. One of the most meaningful expansions we’ve made this year is within our outreach program. Access to affordable spay and neuter services remains one of the biggest barriers for many families in our community, and it’s a gap we are determined to help close. By expanding our services, we are now able to assist even more low-income families in getting their pets the care they need. Every surgery represents not just one animal helped, but generations of animals who will never have to suffer.

At the same time, we are heading into a season full of connection, community, and opportunity to support this mission in fun and meaningful ways. Our annual garage sale is just around the corner and we are also incredibly excited to introduce a new, exclusive four-course dinner, and of course, one of our most anticipated traditions of the year— our annual golf tournament—is back. You’ll find more details about all of these events throughout this newsletter, and I hope you’ll consider joining us in one—or all—of them.

None of this work happens without you. Whether you foster, adopt, donate, volunteer, or simply share our mission with others, you are part of every life we change. Thank you for continuing to stand with us as we grow, expand, and reach more animals and families than ever before.

With gratitude,

ON THE COVER

YOUR DONATIONS AT WORK

Wylie had been reported roaming Hwy I-44 for days. Dodging traffic. Sleeping wherever he could. Just surviving. By the time help arrived, he had already been hit. Injured and terrified, he wouldn’t come to anyone. Not out of stubbornness, but fear. The kind that comes from being out there alone for far too long.

The only way to save him was to trap him.

At our clinic, we discovered the damage: a fractured femoral head He had been walking on it, living on it, enduring it on the side of a highway that never slowed down. Surgery was his only option. And somehow… he kept going. Recovery took weeks. But healing didn’t stop at his leg. In a foster home surrounded by patient people and other dogs, Wylie slowly started to believe in something better. He found comfort. He found confidence. He found joy.

Wylie survived days on the highway He survived being hit He survived the fear Now he’s ready for what he’s always deserved a forever home.

THE IMPORTANCE OF OUTREACH -

MEET BUBBY BEAR

Bubby Bear’s story didn’t start in a home—it started outside, where survival is never guaranteed. He was one of the many cats we serve through our outreach program. The kind of cat people don’t always see, but who depend on someone noticing when it matters most. His caretaker had been doing just that feeding him, watching over him, and making sure he made it to our clinic for his neuter through our community cat program.

But one morning, she found him lying in the road.

He had been hit by a car and without hesitation, she rushed him straight to our clinic. Unfortunately, one leg was severely injured, and another couldn’t be saved at all Bubby Bear went into emergency surgery, where his damaged leg was amputated. Bubby Bear remains at our clinic, receiving daily bandage changes. When he’s healed, Bubby Bear won’t be a community cat anymore Those days are over. He’ll be a housecat in his caretaker's home and we could not be happier for him!

Meet Dipper

Hey there! I'm Dipper, a lovable, goofy, male Basset Hound/Pit Bull Terrier mix, 1.5 years of age and tipping the scales at a delightful 40 pounds I have stellar house and kennel training. I get along with dogs my size or bigger however, I do need a cat free environment. I also need a home with a fence, providing me with plenty of space to romp and explore to my heart's content!

I’m the cat’s pajamas. Franklin here an orang tabby that just turned 1! I may be a little shy a first, but once I feel safe, my sweet side really shines. I’m the kind of guy who prefers gentle voices, slow blinks, and cozy spots where I ca observe the world before fully joining in I was born with one back leg that didn’t develop qui same as the others, but it doesn’t slow me do much I would be happiest with a feline friend

Meet London

Cheerio! I'm London, a handsome, 1 year-old, 32pound boxer mix fellow with playful energy and a distinguished inquisitiveness. I enjoy playing with other dogs, as a matter of fact, I'd love a friendly canine sibling in my forever home Older, sturdy kids would be fine, as well, and of course we'll need a privacy for us all to play in. If my family is active, I could consider an apartment, I'd just need lots of walks and play for exercise! I am also housebroken and crate trained!

“I thought I was rescuing a cat, but really I just gave them a place to land while they slowly took over my home— and my whole heart.”
