A HEALTHY BALANCE At Repton and Repton Prep we are firm believers that we function at our best when everything interweaves, and it is our sector-leading pastoral care that underpins performance in every single area of the school. Every young person is valued, listened to and included, each having a strong sense of purpose in a tight-knit community. We have developed a communication system called ‘WellWorks’ at the senior school, and a bespoke data dashboard at the prep school, to share information about pupils with a personal approach. This ensures a latticework of care that centres around proactiveness, openness and collaboration, finely meshed to prevent any pupil from falling through. Pastoral care at Repton and Repton Prep is pro-active and pre-emptive.

ROUNDED and UNBOUNDED We are ambitious for every one of our pupils and we want their educational journey to be one that gives a sense of place, pride in performance, and an understanding of balance. Our provision is such that we are able to ensure that our pupils never have to sacrifice one passion at the expense of another. Learning is a lifelong endeavour, so at Repton and Repton Prep we provide pupils with the space and freedom to explore new ideas and challenge the status quo to develop enquiring minds. Our aim is for our young people to leave us fully equipped for the real world and challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. This preparation begins in the early years of Repton Prep and culminates in Sixth Form with a progressive careers programme and lifelong access to the Old Reptonian community.
SPORT at its BEST At Repton, achieving in sport and healthy participation for all are in no way mutually exclusive. Sport is for every pupil from performance athletes to those who enjoy sport to stay healthy. Repton Prep’s fundamental ethos is that sport should be enjoyed by all and pupils participate with a genuine desire, which in turn develops their confidence to take their sporting experiences forward. Talented coaching staff set Repton apart from other schools - providing specialist coaching across six focus sports. From former England representatives to Team GB Captains, they ensure pupils receive expert-level guidance and individualised coaching. Like academic teaching staff, all coaches live in Repton meaning they are on-hand to provide support and access to facilities out-of-hours.
An EDUCATION rich in OPPORTUNITY Repton's extensive extra-curricular programme fosters a true sense of belonging, offering every pupil a place to discover and develop their unique talents. Whether in art, textiles, music, drama, sports, the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE), LAMDA, or one of our many societies, pupils find spaces where their strengths are celebrated. Surrounded by supportive staff and like-minded peers, they are encouraged to pursue their interests with enthusiasm and expertise. Central to a Repton education, our extra-curricular offerings provide an engaging balance to academic life, opening doors to new experiences and broader perspectives. SPIRIT of PLACE Enveloped in 55-acres of Derbyshire countryside, Repton Prep is anything but a fair-weather school; every corner provides a learning opportunity. Repton, founded in 1557, is one of the oldest public schools in the UK.
