Each year, Repton Prep is delighted to welcome pupils from across the global Repton Family of Schools. For children from our Repton community, this is a unique opportunity to experience life at our Prep School, build lasting friendships, and immerse themselves in the rich traditions and daily rhythms of a Repton education.
During their time at Repton Prep, pupils live and learn in a boarding environment, discover new interests through a wide range of activities, and grow in confidence and independence, all while feeling fully supported. These visits are equally enriching for our Prep School pupils, who embrace their new friends with warmth, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
Our aim is to ensure that as many Repton pupils as possible can benefit from the chance to travel, learn, and have fun, without disruption to their ongoing studies. Beyond the unforgettable experiences and lifelong memories created, these opportunities play an important role in strengthening the bonds between Repton schools and families around the world.
In the pages that follow, you will find further information about this exceptional experience and how your family can take part.
We very much look forward to welcoming your child to Repton Prep.

Your sincerely,
Mark Semmence Headmaster & CEO of the Repton Group

What stood out most to us was the warmth and support provided by the house parents, teachers, and program coordinators. It was clear that everyone involved was deeply committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for the children.

Welcoming pupils from our wider international community is one of the great joys of life at Repton Prep. Each year, it is truly heart-warming to see children settle in, form lasting friendships, and embrace the many opportunities that life at Repton Prep has to offer.”

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, care, and attention you gave to our daughter during her time at your school. This has truly been an invaluable experience for her—new knowledge, friendships, cultural exchange, and many bright impressions. She spoke with great enthusiasm about life on campus, her classes, teachers, and new friends. We are especially happy to know that she felt safe, surrounded by a kind and supportive atmosphere created by both the staff and students. Thank you very much for helping her to adapt, believe in herself, and gain such an inspiring experience. We are confident that her time at Repton Prep will play an important role in her personal and academic development.

I am interested in a short-term boarding experience at Repton Prep but only wish my child to stay for 2 or 3 weeks. Is this possible?
The minimum stay is for a half term (usually 5 or 6 weeks). We believe that a stay shorter than this does not allow the pupil to gain the full value of the boarding experience, and instead may unnecessarily disrupt their education.
What will my child be studying during their time at Repton Prep?
Repton Prep follows the English National Curriculum and our programme of study is similar to that at Repton Cairo and at Repton schools in the UAE. You can find out more about our academic curriculum here. UAE pupils will be able to complete the required hours of compulsory subjects as per UAE authorities’ guidelines.
My child has specific learning needs, how will these be catered for?
Repton Prep has an excellent team of specialist SEND and EAL teachers. Prior to the start of your child’s stay with us, we will liaise with the relevant staff members in the home school to ensure we have the necessary information on each child to provide them with the best possible learning experience.
Will staff from the home school be accompanying the children?
Parents are more than welcome to accompany the children for their travel to the UK and visit Repton Prep. It is hoped that any children coming from the same home school will be able to travel together. Once a place has been offered, the Repton Family of Schools Operations Manager in the UK will liaise with the home schools and families to support the coordination of transport arrangements. Once at the school, Repton Prep staff will supervise the visit and pupils will be looked after in the same way as other international boarders.
By what means and how often will I be able to communicate with my child?
Each boarding house has phones which pupils can use to call their parents. On evenings throughout the week and at weekends, pupils can use their own electronic devices to speak with family. Pupils are also able to email their parents and friends throughout the week. Parents can contact Houseparents directly during your child’s stay.
Is Repton Prep able to cater to specific dietary requirements?
Our catering team are experienced and adept at providing a fantastic range of options for pupils with specific dietary requirements, whether they be halal, vegan or vegetarian meals.
To which Year Groups is this opportunity open?
The 2026-2027 opportunity is open to pupils as follows:
• Autumn and Spring – Years 6, 7 and 8 next academic year (current Years 5, 6 and 7)
• Summer – Years 6 and 7 (current Years 5 and 6)
