Residents living along Brandon Mill Road said they’d walk everywhere, if they could. But their only option is to walk on the shoulder of the road, and they feel that’s dangerous. Residents representing eight neighborhoods along the road attended the April 16 City Council meeting and asked council members to give sidewalks on Brandon Mill another look. The residents have formed the Walking Brandon Mill Coalition as a way to bring more attention to their cause, and several of the coalition’s members spoke during the April 16 public comments.
Buckhead and Sandy Springs residents who live near a proposed mixed-use development on Roswell Road say the developer’s latest change in plans show a move in the right direction. But, they say, the density of the development still is too high. Developer JLB Partners on April 9 submitted redesigned plans to the city of Sandy Springs for the project at the intersection of Wieuca and Roswell roads near Chastain Park. Neighbors attended a meeting hosted by the Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods and the developers soon after the plans
