experience that's both visually striking and full of flavor. What is Seedlip 108? Seedlip 108 is a premium distilled non-alcoholic spirit crafted with nature in mind. Named after the 108 days it takes to grow peas, one of its key ingredients, this spirit blends herbal and botanical flavors, including garden peas, spearmint, rosemary, thyme, and hay. It offers a smooth, refreshing profile with earthy, green notes and a subtle complexity, making it the perfect base for sophisticated alcohol-free cocktails.
WINES OF THE MONTH JP Chénet “So Free” Alcohol-Free Chardonnay, LanguedocRoussillon, France $9/30 An elegant alcohol-free expression of Chardonnay, crafted in France to retain the varietal’s classic character. Fresh aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and pear lead into a soft, rounded palate with gentle notes of stone fruit and a subtle creaminess. Bright acidity keeps the wine lively and refreshing, making it a

perfect option for members seeking a sophisticated, zero-alcohol alternative without sacrificing flavor or finesse.
JP Chénet Cabernet-Syrah De-Alcoholized, Languedoc-Roussillon, France $9/30 Deep, rich, and full of character, this de-alcoholized red brings forward the best of its Cabernet and Syrah heritage. Expect bold, juicy notes of black cherry, plum, and raspberry, supported by gentle structure and velvety tannins. Subtle spice and a touch of cocoa linger on the finish, giving this wine a satisfying complexity that pairs beautifully with hearty winter fare — think grilled lamb, mushroom risotto, or aged cheeses. A refined non-alcoholic option that doesn’t compromise on depth or personality. FOLLOW RBCC FOR NEWS, UPDATES & INFO

SUPERINTENDENT STRENGTHENS BUSINESS SKILSS RBCC’s Superintendent Alan FitzGerald was one of 25 superintendents across the country to graduate from the Syngenta Business InstituteSM (SBI) in December 2025. SBI is an exclusive professional development program for golf course superintendents hosted by Syngenta and the Wake Forest University Executive Education program in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. While agronomic expertise is critical to superintendent success, Syngenta also recognizes the need to provide superintendents with business management skills. “We developed this program for a small, carefully chosen group of superintendents as a way to invest in their longterm professional growth,” says Stephanie Schwenke, turf market manager, Syngenta. “Through the Syngenta Business Institute, we concentrate on the managerial and business demands of the superintendent role, helping participants deepen their leadership and managerial abilities, which are skills that are just as critical as maintaining exceptional turf.” During the four-day educational program, participants gained knowledge in executive decision making, employee management, negotiation skills, effective communications techniques, managing generational differences and more. Classes were led by professors from the School of Business at Wake Forest University, who provided ideas and tools to assist superintendents in their daily management and long-term planning. Alan FitzGerald was selected from a talented pool of superintendents across the country based on a competitive application process that reviewed their educational background, professional achievements and an essay that demonstrates why they should be selected for the program.

DITCH THE PRESSURE: SIMPLE FITNESS GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR The start of a new year often inspires big health and fitness goals, but those resolutions can quickly feel overwhelming. Real progress doesn’t come from doing everything at once—it comes from small, consistent steps that add up over time. Instead of setting overly ambitious goals, focus on what feels manageable right now. Winter is an ideal time to build healthy habits without pressure. Here are a few realistic, low-stress ways to start your fitness journey this New Year: Simple Fitness Goals: Do 10–15 minutes of your cardio of choice (outdoor/indoor walk, bike, elliptical) Spend 5–10 minutes stretching/mobility work at home Commit to 2 workouts per week instead of daily sessions (Gym, Home, Fitness Classes) Simple Nutrition Goals: Drink a full glass of water in the beginning, middle and end of your day Add a protein source to one meal (eggs, yogurt, fish, chicken, beans) Include one serving of fruit or vegetables at each meal If taking on all these goals feels manageable, go for it—but if it feels overwhelming, start with one and add more over time. Fitness progress doesn’t have to be perfect or linear to be effective, and missing a day doesn’t mean you’ve failed. What matters most is staying consistent and showing up. Avoid comparison—everyone’s body and starting point are different, so focus on your own progress. If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re not alone. Members can schedule a complimentary fitness session to learn what’s in the Fitness Center and create a personalized plan, or join our in-person or online fitness classes for easy, year-round consistency. This New Year, take the pressure off: start small, stay consistent, and remember that little by little adds up.
