Mark your calendars Dark sky week April 21 to 28 Visit Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional park to great views of the night sky. This park is Canada's third Nocturnal Preserve, a designation by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada that ensures artificial light is minimized.
Earth day April 22 This year’s theme is “our power, our planet.” Learn more and get ideas for how to celebrate Earth Day at earthday.org. Every year, the RDCO celebrates community clean-up month in April by providing local groups with gloves, bags, and trash collection after clean-up events. Plan an Earth Day clean-up by visiting: rdco.com/communitycleanup.
Wonders of water May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mission Creek Regional Park Participate in our Kokanee salmon fry release! Join in for a fun-filled family event, with STEAM activity stations throughout the park. Free and drop-in.
