Redeemer: Free to Flourish 2030 articulates the College’s vision for the future and establishes a clear, purposeful direction towards 2030 and beyond. Building on a period of deep review, reflection, and community consultation, this Strategic Plan draws together the hopes, strengths, and aspirations of our community as we reaffirm our commitment to empowering curious, courageous, Christ‑led learners.
Grounded in our enduring Mission and shaped by our Core Values, this plan strengthens the foundations of teaching, learning, wellbeing, and service that define the Redeemer experience. With a renewed focus on curiosity, courage, and Christ‑led purpose, our Strategic Priorities outline where we will direct our energy and resources as we respond to a rapidly changing world. Together with our evolving Masterplan, Redeemer: Free to Flourish 2030 offers clarity and confidence as we plan for sustainable growth, future‑focused learning, and a thriving Christ‑centred culture.
At the heart of this plan is the Redeemer student who is resilient, compassionate, adventurous and relational, free to flourish in God’s world. Rationale
For all learners to be empowered to develop their God-given gifts and talents, quality teaching needs to be consistently on display for each learner, each day, from the start of Prep to the end of Year 12.
This pedagogical approach needs to be research informed and future focused.
By grounding practice in contemporary, research informed pedagogy, the College positions students to thrive in a rapidly changing world and equips teachers with evidence‑based strategies that enhance engagement and achievement. A shared learning framework and common language create coherence across classrooms, strengthen professional collaboration, and support families to understand and participate in their child’s learning journey. This unified approach ensures that every student experiences high quality teaching that reflects future focused capabilities, fosters deep learning, and prepares them for success beyond school.
Through aligned practice, clear expectations and a collective commitment to continual improvement, the College builds a culture where learning is visible, purposeful and transformative for all members of the community.

Rationale
To be true to our mission, we need to be‘empowering curious, courageous, Christ-led learners to serve God’s world’. This requires the College to expose learners to quality learning that occurs in classrooms and beyond the school gate.
Through meaningful opportunities to serve others, students develop a deeper sense of purpose that enriches and elevates their learning. Service encourages learners to look beyond themselves, fostering empathy and a genuine understanding of the needs and experiences of others. In turn, these experiences help students discover more about who they are, what they value and how they can contribute to their community. By serving others, they gain insight into the world around them and build the foundations of lifelong responsibility, compassion and growth.
Tapping into the knowledge, skill, and experience that exists within the College community and within the wider community, affords learners the opportunity to extend the scope and depth of learning that is possible.
It could additionally assist in identifying specialist facilities within the wider community that could be utilized by teachers to offset the current relative weakness of facility limitations. It reflects the societal disruptors of globalization and technology which will be integral to each learner’s lifelong journey.
This strategic priority is a physical manifestation of the College strength of‘living our relatable values’and would assist in promoting the Redeemer identity within and beyond the school gates.

Throughout this Strategic Plan, the symbolism of the Bungwall fern and koru is respectfully acknowledged as a guiding motif. This Strategic Plan is grounded in the local context through the Bungwall Fern (Blechnum nudum), which grows in the wetlands of South-East Queensland on Jagera and Turrbal Country. The Bungwall fern holds significance within First Nations Peoples’traditional knowledge systems and begins as a tightly coiled frond before gradually unfurling. This process embodies growth, strength and a deep connection to Country, offering a powerful representation of development that is organic, resilient and sustained over time.
Building on this foundation, the symbolism of the koru is respectfully acknowledged as a guiding motif. Originating from Māori culture, the koru is inspired by the unfurling frond of the native fern and is widely understood to represent new beginnings, growth, renewal and the continuous unfolding of potential. These meanings closely align with our commitment to fostering a culture of flourishing supporting individuals and communities to grow, adapt and thrive in dynamic and interconnected environments.
The koru’s spiral form reflects a journey that is both progressive and grounded, emphasising balance, resilience and the nurturing of wellbeing over time. In this way, it offers a meaningful framework for our vision of flourishing, where development is not linear but cyclical, responsive and sustained through strong relationships and shared purpose. By recognising both the local significance of the Bungwall Fern and the cultural origins of the koru, this plan honours the importance of culture, environment and identity as integral to meaningful and enduring flourishing.
