PROGRAM SCHOOL SPORT CARNIVALS

Our Swimming Carnivals for Years 3–12 are a vibrant celebration of participation, perseverance, and community. Students of all abilities are encouraged to dive in, challenge themselves, and build confidence in a supportive, team-spirited atmosphere.

CROSS COUNTRY

Our Cross Country Carnivals for Prep-Year 12 are a highlight of the school year, bringing students together in a fun, supportive, and energetic environment. All students are encouraged to take part, challenge themselves, and embrace the outdoors as they build fitness, resilience, and confidence.

ATHLETICS

Our Athletics Carnivals inspire students from Prep to Year 12 to embrace sport in a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment. Whether competing for a personal best or enjoying the spirit of participation, every student is supported to build their skills, challenge themselves, and celebrate their progress.

REPRESENTATIVE

Our students that participate in our college sports carnivals may then be selected to represent at external sport carnivals including: Southern Lutheran Associated Primary Schools - SLAPS (9-12 years)

Greater Brisbane Conference - GBC (9-19 years)

Logan District School Sport (10-19years) Met East Regional School Sport (10-19 years)

GREAT BRISBANE COMPETITION SPORTS YEARS 3-12

GBC AFL

Our Years 3–12 GBC AFL program gives students the chance to represent the College in the Greater Brisbane Competition.

Open to all skill levels, the program provides a fun, inclusive, and competitive team environment where students can develop their skills and enjoy the spirit of the game. In Junior, the program is mixed welcoming both boys and girls to learn, play, and grow together through AFL.

AFL is played in Term 1 in for Junior and Senior

GBC BASKETBALL

Our Years 3–12 GBC Basketball program is open to all experience levels, the program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a supportive and competitive environment. Students grow as athletes while building strong connections on and off the court.

Junior competition is mixed.

Basketball is played in Term 1 for Senior Girls, and in Term 3 for Junior and Senior Boys

GBC FOOTBALL

Our Years 3–12 GBC Football program allows students to compete in the Greater Brisbane Competition while developing their skills, teamwork, and passion for the game. Open to all levels, the program encourages participation and growth in a positive, team-focused environment. For Junior School, the competition is mixed, with both boys and girls playing together.

Football is played in Term 2 for Secondary Girls, and in Term 3 for Primary and Secondary Boys

PROGRAM

GBC INDOOR CRICKET

Our GBC Indoor Cricket program focuses on developing teamwork, strategy, and quick reflexes in a fun and supportive environment. All skill levels are welcome, with an emphasis on participation, improvement, and school spirit. The Junior competition is mixed and in Senior is Boys only.

Indoor Cricket is played in Term 2 for Junior and Senior Boys GBC NETBALL

Our GBC Netball program emphasises teamwork, skill development, and competitive spirit, welcoming players of all experience levels. Students build confidence, form strong team connections, and enjoy a supportive environment both on and off the court. The competition in Junior is mixed and in Senior is Girls only.

Primary Netball is played in Term 1, and Senior Girls in Term 2

GBC TOUCH FOOTBALL

Our Years 3–12 Touch Football program is open to all skill levels, the program focuses on agility, teamwork, and strategic play in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether students are new to the game or seasoned players, they are encouraged to develop their skills, compete with confidence, and enjoy the spirit of team sport. Touch Football is played in Term 2 for Junior and Senior Boys, and in Term 3 for Senior Girls.

GBC VOLLEYBALL

Our Years 7–12 Volleyball program focuses on skill development and teamwork, the program welcomes all abilities and fosters a positive, competitive environment for growth and camaraderie.

Senior Boys Volleyball is played in Term 1, and Senior Girls Volleyball is played in Term 3.

PROGRAM ADDTIONAL SPORT PROGRAMS

SWIM SQUAD

Our Swim Squad for invited students in Years 3 – 12 offers structured weekly training to improve swimming skills, technique and fitness. The program focuses on helping students reach their full potential in the pool. During the year, students can be selected to represent the College at external swimming carnivals.

RUN CLUB

Open to all students in Years 3 – 12 during Term 1 and Term 4, our Run Club brings students together in a fun and supportive, environment. Students of all abilities are encouraged to take part, challenge themselves, and embrace the outdoors as they build fitness, resilience, and confidence. Run Club is a great way for students to get outside and be active with a sense of purpose and positivity.

PREP - YEAR 2 “START” SPORT

Our Prep to Year 2 “START” program provides an engaging and fun introduction to sport, with a focus on developing fundamental movement and sporting skills. Each term, students have the opportunity to explore different sports designed to build confidence, teamwork, and develop a love of physical activity in a supportive and inclusive environment

RISING STARS PROGRAM

The Rising Stars program for students in Years 5 - 6 helps students further develop their sports skills and game knowledge, and begin to transition into our SELECT Sport programs in our Senior School. Participants receive focused training preparing them for higher-level performance in external regional level competitions and tournaments.

SELECT BASKETBALL

Our Select Basketball program for Years 7–12 boys provides high-level coaching, training, and personal development. Students can compete in external competitions and many participate in regional or state-level programs. We aim to expand and develop the program for long-term success.

SELECT FOOTBALL/FUTSAL

Our Select Football/Futsal program for Years 7–12 offers elite coaching and training, with opportunities to compete in SFL and ISSA Cup . Students also engage in regional or state-level programs, with a focus on long-term growth and success in football.

SELECT NETBALL

Our Select Netball program for Years 7–12 offers specialised coaching and training to develop advanced skills and tactical understanding. Students compete in the Underwood Park competition on a Saturday morning and also Vicki Wilson Cup, along with other external competitions. We encouraged the girls to pursue opportunities in regional and state-level programs.

The Select Touch Football program for Years 7–12 focuses on advanced training and skill refinement. Students have the chance to represent Redeemer in high-level external competitions, while also exploring regional and state-level opportunities to accelerate their growth and success in the sport.

SELECT VOLLEYBALL

Our Select Volleyball program for Years 7–12 offers top-tier coaching and training, focusing on technique, teamwork, and game strategy. Students have the opportunity to compete at Volleyball Queensland Schools Cup and Australian Volleyball Schools Cup. Students are encouraged to pursue regional, statelevel and Australian opportunities.
