LUTHERAN CHURCH OF
THE REDEEMER ATLANTA, GA
Pledging is: Spiritual - An act of discipleship and trust in God's provision Intentional - A thoughtful decision, often renewed each year Helpful - It enables our leadership to be wise stewards of our shared resources It's important to know that setting up a recurring online gift does not automatically count as a pledge. We need a formal pledge - either online or in writing - to include it in our planning.
This summer, our stewardship team is launching a special midyear initiative called Growing God's Garden. This theme reminds us that, just like a garden, our shared ministry needs care, intention, and faithful tending to flourish. We're reaching out especially to those who generously and regularly support our ministry but haven't yet made a financial pledge for this year. We invite you to consider making a pledge for the remainder of the year. And if you've already pledged, would you prayerfully consider increasing your commitment? What is a pledge? A pledge is a personal, faithful commitment to give a specific amount over the course of the year. It's not a contract - it's a spiritual promise, rooted in gratitude for God's blessings and made in support of our church's mission. Think of it as your part in Growing God's Garden: pledges allow us to plan wisely, build a responsible budget, and invest in worship, outreach, education, and care.
You can make your pledge in any of these three ways: Fill out and return the enclosed pledge card Log into your Realm account and record your pledge Email our Director of Operations, Brandon Davis, who can enter it for you Remember, you can update your pledge at any time. We know that life changes - and your pledge can change with it. It's not about equal amounts; it's about equal commitment, and growing together in faith. You don't have to be a church member to pledge. There's no minimum amount. What matters is your heart and your desire to help nurture this garden of faith. To celebrate our progress, we'll be placing a tree in the Sims atrium. Each pledge we receive will be represented by a leaf (no names or amounts just leaves!). As the weeks go on, we hope to see it fill with vibrant growth, a visible sign of our shared commitment. By the end of June, may it be overflowing with new life. Thank you for helping us grow God's garden together.
