Clark L. Tomlin, Jr July 15, 1950 -- January 18, 2023 Clark Lanier Tomlin Jr., CPA, 72, of Gainesville, Georgia, entered God’s Eternal Kingdom peacefully on January 18, 2023 after a short period of declining health. Clark, Jr. was born July 15, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia to his loving parents, the late Doris L. Tomlin and the late Clark L. Tomlin, Sr. He grew up in a loving family with younger brothers, Alan R. Tomlin and the late Philip M. Tomlin. Surviving Clark Jr. are his brother, Alan R. Tomlin, sister-in-law, Lisa Tomlin, dearly loved nieces, Lindsay Tomlin and Anne Kelly Tomlin, and former wife, Donna Tomlin. Growing up, Clark Jr. was exposed to athletics, the arts, and the outdoors. Clark Jr. was a very smart man who accomplished a lot during his career. He graduated from Georgia State University with a Graphics Design Degree and went on to become a Master Illustrator for magazine advertising. As the world of art was changing to a computerized format, the demand for Master Illustrators was decreasing. Clark Jr. reattended Georgia State University where he obtained an Accounting Degree and became a CPA. Clark Jr. also worked in the family CPA practice for a few years before establishing his own successful CPA practice in the Cumming/Forsyth area. During his free time, Clark Jr. enjoyed playing golf and spending time on his sailboat. Over the years, he became very educated and experienced in the sport of sailing. The time he spent on perfecting his craft led him to become an excellent Yachtsman. He loved playing his mandolins. He also enjoyed his Irish heritage by enjoying wood burning fires on his wood stove. Clark Jr. adored his cats and fish. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
