August 2022 Greetings Families, The following is your “get ready for school” newsletter with a lot of information to digest before school starts. Please take time to review it all. Our staff spends a lot of time preparing for the academic year and we ask partnership in this from you. Being involved means spending time with school documents and informing us with information about your child and family prior to school starting and interacting with information through the academic year. All links below have been compiled into a "Family Page" under the new tab "Your MTLPS" on the top of the website. EDUCA Educa is our parent engagement app. Weekly E-blast newsletters (Thursdays) and school announcements get posted for easy access. Teachers post classroom news and student learning stories so families can be a part of what happens in the classroom! New families watch for email invites by the end of August.

TUITION Family forms above are due NO LATER than Thursday, August 11th so tuition payment plans can be posted into www.MyProcare.com. Tuition will be due by August 17th.

HEALTH & WELLNESS Vaccines Students are required to have all up-to-date vaccinations on file with the State of Georgia Form 3231. I have access to our state database and will be pulling all vaccination records (families do not have to submit) before the start of school. However, vaccinations must be updated with the pediatrician by September 10th if: your child's record is expired you are transferring from out-of-state or country. Families must take vaccine records to their new pediatrician to get transferred onto our Georgia form. COVID-19 It's been a whirlwind two years through the pandemic. We know Covid won't be going away, but it sure was an exciting summer with the release of the COVID-19 vaccine for children under 5! We are grateful for science! For 2022-23, we will simplify Covid protocols and follow current CDC guidelines around masking, isolating, etc. This is also in-line with our larger church campus. Here are a few updates: Use of Face coverings - Families should keep masks (preferably well-fitting kn95's or kf94's) handy for use as CDC guidance at times will recommend masking indoors dependent on community spread. We will continue maintaining good hygiene and surface cleaning. We will continue the use of air purifiers in our classroom spaces. We have omitted the use of My Temp Tracker as we will monitor and communicate about appropriate symptoms and cases of Covid-19 as we do other communicable diseases in line with our Family Handbook.
