The vision is now a Reality! After more than 18 months of hard work and dedication. We are finally able to say the Brand NEW 18,000 Sq. Ft. Trinity Health Center is now open!!! Were there was once a need is now fulfilled and future is not only brighter, it is going to be healthier as well. Here is to many years of servicing Trinity County.
THE REDDING RANCHERIA HEAD START & CHILD CARE 500 – BOX CAR RACE Redding Rancheria Head Start & Child Care
On Wednesday, March 23rd, the Redding Rancheria Head Start & Child Care held the annual Head Start 500- Box Car Race. Children and parents were very creative with all of their box car designs! Each box reflected the child’s personality or interests. Children started off the race week learning safety tips from our friends, Jason Morton and Brian Singleton, from the California Highway Patrol. On Wednesday the children got to attend their very own Drive in Movie and while sitting in their box cars and enjoying some popcorn. On race day, parents cheered for their children as they raced their box cars around the playground. Halfway through the race each child had to stop at the Pit Stop, fuel up with a drink of water and wipe the bugs off of their sunglasses. Trophies all around for all of our wonderful racers!

The Redding Rancheria is proud to work in conjunction with FIRST 5 Shasta to promote and support recognition of “The Week of the Young Child”. The Redding Rancheria knows that the future of all people’s rest on the shoulders of our youth. We must do all that we can to give them the tools to build a glorious future for all.

WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH Redding Rancheria Head Start & Child Care
The Redding Rancheria holds in its highest regard Tribal Elders, especially the 17 Tribal Elders who we call our original distributees. Especially during Women’s History Month, it is wonderful to recognize that 14 of the 17 original distributees were women. We are so proud of these women who helped pave the path for all of us. We say #proudtoplayourpart because they played their part for us. Our hands go up to each and every one of them! THE CHAIRMAN SPEAKS AT SUNSET ROTARY CLUB OF REDDING Redding Rancheria
On Thursday, March 10th our own Chairman Jack Potter Jr. was asked to speak at the Sunset Rotary Club of Redding. He did a great job educating the community about the history of this region. It was quite a program and he is the best person to share this knowledge. Thank you Chairman for continuing to educate our community because the future generations will greatly appreciate it. I know we do.

RETIREMENT Redding Rancheria
Congrats to Don Benner!! He has retired after working for his Tribe for over 25 years. We will always appreciate his dedication to his Tribe, his work and his employees. Also, a huge thanks to Tribal Member Ginger Murphy and her business Bear Paw quilts for creating a beautiful T shirt quilt as memorabilia for Don’s time working at the Tribe.
