TRIBE HONORS DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. ON HIS 93RD BIRTHDAY Redding Rancheria
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” - Martin Luther King, Jr. The Redding Rancheria was proud to partner with the City of Redding to celebrate this very important day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s. birthday. This event was a fun and heartwarming experience. There was music, dancing, prayer, and a beloved community coming together to honor the pursuit of equality & equity. Mr. King’s conviction and belief in his dream is so profound, it inspires the best of humanity still to this day. There will come a day when the dream will be a reality. When that day comes, it will be because we stayed vigilant in creating a brighter future for generations to come.
NATIONAL TAKE A WALK OUTSIDE DAY Redding Rancheria
We were happy to participate in the National Take a Walk Outside Day! Going outside can help reduce stress. Scientists have discovered physiological evidence that suggests spending time in nature reduces stress, such as observed lowered heart rates and less time spent thinking about problems and/ or insecurities. Furthermore, taking a walk outside will help the brain produce endorphins, which are neurotransmitters responsible for regulating mood. Both being outside and walking can work together to create positive changes in overall state of mind.

Our very own Dr. Jolene Kingsley and Dr. Chad Kingsley both ran the Redding marathon & relay. We would like to give a shoutout to our Dr. Paul Davis for also participating! We send a special thanks to our own Dr. Li Won Po who volunteered at the medical tent. We have the best medical crew around. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful event. Win-River Resort & Casino sponsored this event and we were happy to see the marathon return.
