The Frontier Senior Center located in Anderson, CA has a brand new back yard fence with a special thanks to the Redding Rancheria Community Fund. They were one of the recipients of a grant in 2021. Did you know the Redding Rancheria Community Fund has contributed $3.75 Million back into the community? Helping hands heal hearts, open minds, and create brighter futures for those brave enough to take on such honorable endeavors. The Redding Rancheria is proud to play a part!

The event is being held on Friday, April 22nd from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Win-River Resort & Casino (outdoors in front of the Win-River Basket.) This event is free for all ages! NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY Redding Rancheria
On February 4th the Redding Rancheria donned red for National Wear Red day in order to show their support for women’s heart health. National Wear Red Day is supported by the American Heart Association and celebrated in conjunction with national heart health month. It focuses specifically on raising awareness of women’s heart disease and stroke risks. 87% of all heart issues are believed to be preventable making awareness, education, research, and resources vital to the cause this holiday supports. Our employees are always ready and willing to support a great cause!

HONORING OUR OWN MICHAEL HOLLOWELL Redding Rancheria
Tribal Attorney, Michael Hollowell, was recognized by the Redding Rancheria Tribal Council. Tribal Council gifted him a custom Redding Rancheria Pendleton blanket. Michael and the legal department have been successful in litigating two cases recently that established and defended the Tribal Sovereignty of the Redding Rancheria. Michael has worked for the Tribe since 2017. He is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Defending Tribal Sovereignty is a never ending battle and we are grateful for the legal expertise of our department.

We would like to congratulate our own Carlos Wilson, Interim Maintenance Superintendent, as the February 2022 Employee of the Month! Carlos Wilson received this award for the following reasons: Carlos has had to take on many responsibilities in recent months without any hesitation, and he has gone above and beyond. He continuously
steps up when needed. In this time, he has been able to remain very open and helpful to any of the employees in Public Works, no matter the situation or concern. Carlos deserves this because of his hard work and dedication to keeping public works and the Rancheria operations flowing.
