Redding Rancheria Tribal Government Officials for 2021-2022 REDDING RANCHERIA
The Redding Rancheria Tribal Government introduces its Redding Rancheria Tribal Government Officials for 2021-2022! The governing body of the Redding Rancheria is the Tribal Council which is composed of seven Council members and three alternate Council members elected by its membership. The four candidates receiving the most votes are elected for a two-year term and the other three candidates are elected for a one-year term. The three alternate positions are elected for one-year terms. The current Council is: Jack Potter Jr. - Tribal Chairperson, Michelle Hayward - Vice Chair, Patty Spaulding – Secretary and Hope Wilkes - Treasurer Council members are: Jason Hayward Jr., Tony Hayward Sr. and Laine Hayward Alternate positions are: Jason Hayward Sr. - 1st Alternate, Nicole Wilkes - 2nd Alternate and Miranda Edwards - 3rd Alternate The Redding Rancheria Tribal Council has been delegated broad governing responsibilities and powers and among these are the responsibilities to establish goals, make and enforce laws, and manage the economic affairs of the Tribe. The government of the Redding Rancheria exercises, protects and enhances the sovereign right of self-government while promoting a lasting cultural and community identity and traditions for all members of the Tribe. “The Redding Rancheria is proud to have a respectful government to government relationship with Shasta County, the city of Redding, and local towns within our county.” Stated Tracy Edwards, CEO Redding Rancheria Tribal Government.

Redding Rancheria Receives Support from California Tribal Chairpersons’ Association Redding Rancheria
Bo Mazzetti, Chairman of the California Tribal Chairpersons’ Association (CTCA), announced support of Redding Rancheria’s application to place 232 acres of fee land into trust. The CTCA advocates for tribal governments and advancing tribal sovereignty and self-determination. “The Redding Rancheria has worked for over 18 years to place this property into trust in order to relocate their current tribal gaming operations. This property is indisputably within the Redding Rancheria’s aboriginal territory and is only a mere 2 miles from their current location. We ask that the Department of the Interior recognize the importance of how restoring these tribal lands will directly advance the Tribe’s economic self-sufficiency as well as their plans for self-preservation and growth,” said Bo Mazzetti. Redding Rancheria actively gives back on a regular basis. Since its inception, the Redding Rancheria Community Foundation has fundraised more than $3.75 million toward local community projects and programs. Redding Rancheria has donated $305,000 to 61 local organizations in Shasta & Trinity Counties already in 2021. The tribe is recognized for their record of partnership with neighboring governments and their support of the surrounding community. They have worked tirelessly and in a transparent manner to earn the support of thousands of citizens in their community.”
Redding Rancheria Turkey and Toys Event Redding Rancheria
The Redding Rancheria hosted a Turkey and Toys event for 500 families on Thursday, December 16th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Our annual event has been modified to safely distribute the items. We created an online application process with a deadline date. The first 500 completed applications were selected and given a time between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to pick up the turkey and toys for their families. Happy Holidays!

Annual Holiday Luncheon & Award Banquet Redding Rancheria
The Redding Rancheria kicked off the Holiday Season by holding their Annual Christmas Luncheon. We were able to honor our new employee of the month with applause and a beautiful plaque. Employee Anniversary Milestones were also honored. It is a beautiful thing to see so many smiling faces as they reach the next anniversary. This ALL about APPRECIATION! Thank you for your continued dedication as we create a brighter tomorrow for ALL!

What better way to celebrate the holidays and be surrounded by one Million bright lights inside the 10-acre Turtle Bay Botanical Gardens. She is receiving this award for the following reasons: Tianna goes above and beyond her job title and always has a smile on her face. She has no problem doing her job, no matter what the task is from day one Tianna has been a self-starter and keeps herself busy. Tianna has a great personality, she is happy and a very enjoyable person to work with we are lucky to have her part of our team.
