Employee Appreciation
2026 Employee Appreciation Day was a hit, with 694 people in attendance. Guests were able to choose from delicious food provided by four food trucks or the amazing spread prepared by the Redding Rancheria Human Resources Department.
WaterWorks Park was generous to keep their store open so attendees could enjoy cool fountain drinks or purchase a souvenir. The DJ provided announcements and music throughout the event, and there was even a watermelon eating contest. Overall, people went home happy, and the event was a success.
Redding Rancheria Walking Group
Looking for a fun way to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with others? Join the Redding Rancheria Walking Group every Thursday at 9:00 a.m. as we explore a variety of local trails throughout our community.
Whether you are just getting started on your fitness journey or are a seasoned walker, everyone is welcome. Our walks are designed for all fitness levels, including wheelchair walkers, because wellness is for everyone.
Each week offers a chance to enjoy fresh air, gentle exercise, great conversation, and beautiful local trails. It is a healthy way to start the day while also building connections with others in the community.
Bring a friend, meet new people, and take a step toward better health with us each week.

Redding Rancheria Trinity Health Fair
Redding Rancheria Trinity’s annual Health and Wellness Fair was held on July 29 and was a great success. More than 40 local vendors were in attendance, providing a valuable opportunity for our community to connect, collaborate, and access important health and community resources. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make this event possible. We can’t wait to see what next year’s Health and Wellness Fair brings

Redding Rancheria Community Fund Awards Nearly $125,000 to Nonprofits
The Redding Rancheria Community Fund has awarded grants to 53 nonprofits in Shasta and Trinity counties totaling $124,993. The Fund supports a variety of causes including cultural, historic, and educationaI activities.
‘’The Redding Rancheria Community Fund’s commitment to supporting our locaI non profits is a testament to our dedication to enhancing the quality of life in Shasta and Trinity counties,” said Tracy Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at Redding Rancheria. “These grants wilI empower organizations across various sectors to continue their vital work, fostering a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community for us all.”
The Redding Rancheria Community Fund, established in 2002 to support worthy causes in Shasta and Trinity counties, is one of the longest-standing funds at the Community Foundation. The fund has granted more than $4.8 million into the community.

For many employees, working at Redding Rancheria is both a professional and personal experience.
Virgil Baker Jr. shared, “My first position with the Tribe was as a security guard when the actual casino was being built. I used to watch the supplies as they were being delivered from the house I lived in right next door.”
Trisha Baker shared, “My advice to anyone who wants to come work for the Tribe is to do it. We take care of you. We take care of each other like family, and working together is always awesome. You create family by working alongside the people you work with every day and by taking care of our customers and Tribal members.”

We would like to congratulate Janna Howard as our July 2026 Employee of the Month.
Janna was recognized for her incredible flexibility, responsiveness, and dedication to going above and beyond to meet the needs of the children she serves. She approaches every interaction with compassion, patience, and genuine care, always keeping the children’s best interests at the center of every decision.
Her commitment has made a meaningful difference in the lives of the children she supports and has also given caregivers confidence knowing they have a true partner by their side.
