Primary (K-Yr 6) - 8.30 AM to 3.00 PM
High School (Yr7-Yr10) - 8.50 AM to 3.30 PM
Teacher supervision is available from 8:00 AM, with Kool HQ providing onsite Before School Care starting from 7am. For senior students, doors open at 8:00 AM.
All students have scheduled morning tea and lunch breaks with the option of purchasing meals from the school canteen provider. Information regarding Kool HQ before and after school care is available on page 20
The academic timetable follows a 10-day cycle, made up of two school weeks. Week A does not necessarily mirror Week B The first week of any term uses the week A timetable regardless of what day it begins on. Before school and after school activities remain the same each week.
The school is conveniently situated near major public transport hubs, including the Victoria Cross Metro Station just a short one-minute walk away. A dedicated School Crossing Patrol is in place to ensure the safety of students during school arrival and departure times N B Reddam House North Shore is a registered school for Transport NSW Student Travel Pass or Opal Pass
For parents choosing to drop-off or pick-up their children by car, a dedicated pick-up and drop-off zone is available beneath the school, accessible via Harnett Street. Please note that the drop-off zone opens at 8:00 AM. Children arriving before this time will need to enter the school through the main entrance and report to reception. In adherence to our safety protocols, the drop-off/pick- up zone will be closed during school hours. It will reopen at 2:55 PM for the staggered afternoon pickup to avoid congestion
As we prepare for an exciting school year, we would like to ensure everyone is familiar with the procedures for student arrivals and departures. Our priority is to create a safe, efficient, and stress-free experience for students, parents, and staff.
Public Transport – Victoria Cross Metro Station
We encourage all students to make use of the new Victoria Cross Metro Station, located conveniently near the school.
At the beginning of term 1, wayfinding assistants will be stationed to guide students to the school. Students are reminded to use the pedestrian lights when crossing the road for safety.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Instructions
Access to the Carpark
Entry to the school’s basement carpark is via Harnett Street As you approach, the entrance roller door will be visible on your right-hand side.

- 9:00am)
The carpark entrance door will be open during this time. Please follow signs to pull into the designated drop-off bays where your child can exit safely
Important: Parents must remain in their vehicles during drop-off to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
Afternoon
(3:00pm - 4:00pm)
The carpark entrance will reopen for pick-up at 2.55pm, with staggered pick-up times by year levels.
Families with multiple children should follow the pick-up time of the eldest child. You will be given a coloured access permit to display, as per the below key.
Please note that pulling into and stopping in Gamarada Place to collect your children is not permitted.

Supervision is provided from 8:00 AM for students in years K through 6 who arrive early and are not taking part in before school activities Students will be able to sit and read or play educational games, which are provided by the school, during this time. Details of further options can be found on page 18 for before & after school care.
Please be advised that no afternoon supervision takes place. Students who have not been collected by 3:40 will be admitted to After School Care and parents will be charged accordingly. We ask all families to complete a Kool HQ enrolment (link Register - Kool HQ) in advance, even if you do not anticipate using the service regularly. This ensures your child can be booked in quickly in the event of an emergency or unexpected change
Reddam House’s enrichment programme takes place before school on Fridays for year 3 - 6, and on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for year K-2.
Students can take part in various enrichment activities such as art, chess, cartooning, hip hop and other creative activities. The aim of the enrichment programme is to enhance the learning experience for students with non-curriculum based activities.
Students make a selection of enrichments from those on offer which are emailed to parents twice yearly Once a student commits to an activity, they will remain in that enrichment group for two terms.
As late arrivals disrupt and compromise both teaching and learning, we encourage students to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the school day.
In the event of a late arrival, students must report to reception via the front entrance to obtain a late slip. This step is essential to ensure your child is recorded as present on the official roll, which is crucial for record-keeping, duty of care, and safety
Parents, please notify us of any lateness by emailing: attendance@reddamnorthshore.com.au

Reddam House North Shore endeavours to provide the highest level of excellence for its students. We encourage our students to learn independently as this will prepare and equip them with the necessary skills required at university level and beyond.
Modern day technology is integral to everyday life and we wish to build the flexibility these advances have brought into every classroom and away from the use of computer labs.
Our aim is to increase their capability to communicate and collaborate effectively, whilst also giving them the necessary tools to improve their IT skills.
Device requirements for students are as follows:
1. Students must have a laptop computer for use in class when needed by the teacher for research.
2. Should you not have a preference, the Reddam IT Department’s suggested device is the Surface Pro.
3. Students must have administrative rights on the laptops, as specific settings require approval as an administrator.

We strongly advise students to select from the recommended laptop devices listed below to ensure their BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) enhances their learning experience.
The school will provide all students with access to Office 365 (the cloud-based Microsoft Office suite) All approved devices will be configured to connect to the school’s Wi-Fi network and granted access to necessary computing resources on campus. A technology levy will apply, covering the costs of all educational software, artificial intelligence tools, and tech support services.
