Dear Parents and Caregivers, The Sydney World Pride and Mardi Gras Festival events close this weekend. It has been a time to celebrate inclusivity, acceptance, equality, the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history, and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. With that in mind, the Charity Portfolio held a Mufti Day with $500 raised for Minus 18 LGBTQIA+ Youth. This charity tackles the social isolation many students in this community feel by creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ young people belong, are celebrated, and can make friends. Excerpts from the Reddam School Song sum up our school’s commitment to inclusivity, respect, and acceptance of all people.

On Wednesday, the Swimming Carnival was again held at the Drummoyne Pool. The sun shone all day, and the racing was exciting. Congratulations to Darling House on taking out the Carnival with 997 points, followed by Bennelong with 927 in second place, Macquarie in Third with 776, and Piper bringing up the rear with 687.
