Step back in time and commemorate 250 years since the American Revolution at Rose Hill Manor Park & Museums. Through a series of new exhibits and experiences, discover the complex ideas of freedom that shaped our nation and the lives of those who lived at Rose Hill. The In Search of Freedom exhibit opens April 2, 2026, inviting visitors to reflect on the pursuit of liberty and the legacy of slavery during the Revolution and throughout the rest of American history, all told through the stories of the inhabitants of Rose Hill and Frederick County. Join us throughout the year as the Seed to Harvest Barn opens in Summer 2026 and the new Carriage Museum debuts in Fall 2026—each offering unique ways to explore and reflect on the past. Stay tuned for more programs and events throughout 2026 as we honor this milestone with opportunities to learn, remember, and connect with history in meaningful ways.

Archery Tag combines elements of dodgeball or other combat-type games with the timeless skills of archery. CUBS CRICKET ACADEMY
Cubs Cricket Academy is the perfect place for young players to learn cricket fundamentals in a fun, supportive setting. Through age-appropriate activities at Cricket Academy, kids learn how to hold the bat, bowl the ball, running between the wickets and fielding through age-appropriate drills and games, kids will learn essential skills such as how to hold the bat, bowl the ball, run between wickets and field effectively. They will have the opportunity to play with other children in the same age group, learning teamwork, communication and sportsmanship as they work together to score runs and take wickets. Each practice session includes fun drills, mini-games, and friendly matches designed to build confidence and enjoyment. Our Cricket Academy is open to all elementary school kids who are interested in learning and playing cricket. No experience is needed - just bring your enthusiasm and a big smile! Learn how to play the fastest growing sport in America! Our soccer clinics are programs developed for soccer players who want to improve their skills and abilities by learning from an international experienced coach. Chair Yoga

SMART Fitness
Class will combine mat, weighted and flow Pilates work together with functioning training that incorporates multi-joint movement patterns to keep us strong for everyday life. Class concentrates on full-body sculpting exercises with strong focus on conditioning, form, control and balance - different exercise options and variations will be offered to students to modify and/or challenge the body. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups' strength and flexibility with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Frederick County Parks and Recreation offers Adaptive Recreation (AR) programs designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, developmental differences, and/or higher support needs as well as emphasize participants’ unique abilities. Programs utilize trained staff and higher staff/participant ratios in addition to adapted spaces, materials, and content to provide an opportunity for individuals to participate in various recreation activities.

FCPR’s Adaptive Recreation Programs utilize designated program levels and essential eligibility criteria to ensure the safety of all participants and sta who are part of the program and to allow participants to experience the program to the fullest extent.
LEVEL 1
No assistance needed to maneuver rugged terrain and extended distances.
Can maintain their own personal hygiene and without assistance.
Can follow multiple-step instructions.
Able to convey feelings, desires, and emotions without assistance.
Demonstrates age-appropriate social and emotional skills in managing personal boundaries, relationships, communication, stress, and con ict.

ADAPTIVE SNOW SKIING CLASS
Essential Eligibility Criteria: Program Level 1-4 Join us and Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports for some fun in the snow at Ski Liberty Mountain for an adaptive skiing clinic. Participants will choose from sit down ski or stand-up ski lessons. Stand-up Ski: Participants must be able to support their own body weight and have the physical capabilities to stand and ski for a 2-hour period. This event is geared to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Participants will get the opportunity to learn the basics of stand-up skiing with the help of two trained volunteers. Adaptive snow sports allow people with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors and freedom of movement. Sit-down Ski: This is geared to individuals who are non-ambulatory with advanced forms of cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, etc. In this clinic participants will get the opportunity to ride in an adaptive sit- down ski, as a member of Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports pulls the participant up and down the slopes, allowing them to enjoy the outdoors and freedom of movement. Participants must be able to provide personal care independently or with assistance from a caregiver who is onsite. Fee includes: 2-hour instruction, Lift Ticket, Helmet, Goggles, Skis. All equipment provided. Participant will need to provide appropriate winter clothing. Participants must arrive at least 30 minutes early to receive gear. Transportation must be provided. Once registered participants must provide in advance: weight, height, shoe size, and head size in preparation for equipment and fill out an AIR Health and Skills forms. GET READY FOR PRESCHOOL!
During this program, your 30 - 36 month old child will practice skills that will help him/her prepare for preschool. We will focus on separating from a caregiver, turn-taking with peers, following directions in a group, imitating actions during circle time and having fun with friends. Our daily schedule includes free play, circle time, art, movement, snack and story time. This inclusive group is taught by staff from the Frederick County Infants and Toddlers Program. Caregivers are required to stay on the premises. Please only register for one session as space is limited. If your child has participated in a Get Ready for Preschool group before, your child's name will be placed on a waiting list. In an attempt to provide equal opportunities to families in Frederick County, groups will be filled with first time participants and then the waiting list will be used to fill groups as needed. Join us for this fun, educative, and interactive babysitting course. Safe Sitter is the only non-profit devoted exclusively for preparing young adolescents to baby-sit or stay home alone. The instructor led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR skills! HANDS ONLY CPR
In this class, participants will learn how to perform hands-only chest compressions in the event of a sudden cardiac. No rescue breaths are performed in this practice. This class is for general education purposes only and is considered a starting point for learning formal CPR. Once participants complete this class, they will not be considered CPR certified and will not meet the requirements if they need a CPR certification for their job. In addition, participants will go through Stop the Bleed training, which will teach individuals how to respond to and control severe, life-threatening bleeding in the event of a traumatic injury. 9. Alcohol/Tobacco products are strictly prohibited on FCPS school property.
10. Inappropriate, threatening or offensive displays/conduct is prohibited.
