Education foundation to host comedy benefit Citizen report

NORTHFORD — The playoffs proved a short road for the long-shot Sheehan hockey team. Ranked No. 16, the Titans fell to top-seeded North Haven 8-0 in the first round of the CIAC Division ll state tournament on Tuesday night at the Northford Ice Pavilion. The Nighthawks continued on their road to redemption after falling to Wethersfield in last year’s Division ll state final. North Haven improved to 19-2-0 and will face No. 9 Daniel Hand (10-10-1) in Friday’s quarterfinals at Wesleyan.
