Children’s book inspired by author’s papergirl experience By Nicole Zappone The Citizen

A childhood memory that stands out for Teresa Vitelli is being a papergirl. At age 12, she delivered the Record-Journal throughout South Meriden. And that work experience was the inspiration for her new children’s book, “Potholes.”

“There is a story within each of us, some that are told and some that are not told,” said Vitelli, a broker with ERA Hart SargisBreen Real Estate in Berlin. “Some that we let out to help someone else was my driving force throughout the book.” While Vitelli didn’t know the first thing about penning a children’s book, late one night she felt inspired to write. “Potholes” was completed in under two hours.

The story follows Teresa Ann, who transforms into Tere’Sann, the super paper girl.
