New BPD equipment comes care of the Berlin Lions Club Citizen report

Thanks to the Berlin Lions Club, local police now have a piece of equipment they had been lacking. Recently, the Lions handed over a new off-road utility vehicle and a storage trailer for the UTV to the Berlin PD. Fittingly, the presentation was made at the Berlin Lions fairgrounds, where the civic group hosts its largest fundraiser each fall. Mike Miller, owner of The Salty Dog Tavern Plainville, stands behind the bar at the business, which is under renovation in the former Hop Haus space at 24 Whiting St. in Plainville. “For many years the Berlin Police have had to borrow UTVs from surrounding departments. And now, thanks to the Lions Club, we now have our own,” the Berlin PD stated on social media. “The Berlin Police appreciate all the Berlin Lions Club does to support, not only the police department, but the Berlin community.” See Club, A12
