The Hurricane Melissa Task Force brings together REALTORS® Jamaica, international partners, and industry stakeholders in a coordinated, volunteerdriven initiative focused on disaster preparedness, response, and community recovery efforts
In its recent efforts, the Task Force provided financial assistance to members based on a survey issued by the Association to identify where support was most needed This ensured assistance was directed quickly and meaningfully to those who required it most

As part of your 2026 Learning Journey, we highlight our Green Sustainability Panel Discussion, held under the theme “Sustainable Building for Better Real Estate”.
This engaging session brought together key voices from across the industry to explore innovative ideas, practical solutions, and the future direction of sustainable real estate in Jamaica.
The discussion focused on how sustainability can be meaningfully integrated into building practices, planning, and development to support a more resilient and environmentally responsible sector.
This event formed Part 1 of a two-part series, designed to deepen knowledge and spark meaningful dialogue leading up to our upcoming Green Designation Course—the first of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean.
The conversation highlighted the importance of collaboration, forward-thinking approaches, and continuous learning as the industry evolves toward greener, more sustainable standards.

2026 got off to a purposeful and energising start with two virtual sessions designed to inspire action, reflection, and renewed focus across our membership.
New Year, New Me – Unlock
Your 2026 Success set the tone for ambition in action. Led by Matthew “Taff” Stevenson, the session moved beyond the usual New Year resolutions and into real, practical strategies for growth.
Members were challenged to sharpen their focus, reset their approach, and step confidently into the year with tools they could immediately apply to their business.
Adding balance to the momentum was Temperature Check and Encouragement for the Year, a timely pause in the rush of goalsetting. This reflective session encouraged members to check in with themselves, realign where necessary, and approach the year with clarity and renewed energy
It was a gentle reminder that success is not only about doing more, but also about pausing with purpose.
Together, these sessions captured a simple but powerful message: start strong, stay grounded, and grow with intention throughout the year.
