DEAR FRIENDS,

Welcome to 2026 and to the latest exciting evolution of Real Maine Weddings! This issue is full of even more of what you love — beautiful Maine weddings, inspiring local talent, and meaningful stories that celebrate the people who make this state such a remarkable place to say “I do.”

The past few years have reshaped nearly every part of our industry. Like so many others, the publishing world has felt the ripple effects of rising paper and printing costs and shifting expectations. Rather than resist, we’ve chosen to adapt, to rethink our goals, refine our approach, and create a magazine that is not only more sustainable, but also more intentional in how we share Maine’s wedding magic with the world. We are thrilled to offer these ideas and images with an improved carbon footprint and an even greater focus on creativity, community, and connection.

We’re always humbled by the breathtaking photography, distinctive celebrations, and the unmatched artistry of Maine’s wedding professionals. And it doesn’t end here. Keep visiting realmaineweddings.com for even more inspiration, stories, and behind-the-scenes features that will roll out all year long.

Our hope is that you will use Real Maine Weddings as more than just inspiration, but as a trusted resource. Every vendor featured here represents the talent, integrity, and passion that define Maine’s wedding industry. Whether you’re searching for your dream venue, a floral designer who understands your vision, or a photographer who captures every fleeting moment, you can feel confident turning to these pages and our partners as your guides. This community is built on relationships, reputation, and genuine care for each couple’s story, and that is what makes Maine’s wedding industry so extraordinary.

As always, we’ve organized our featured weddings and styled shoots by the regions defined by the Maine Office of Tourism Aroostook, Acadia, Greater Portland & Casco Bay, Kennebec and Moose River Valley, Maine Lakes and Mountains, Midcoast, The Maine Beaches, and The Maine Highlands — each with its own charm, culture, and possibilities. Whether you’re a couple planning your big day or a dreamer discovering Maine for the first time, we hope these pages lead you to the perfect backdrop for your love story.

Thank you for being part of our Real Maine Weddings family. Your support keeps this community thriving, creative, and ever evolving.

With appreciation, Reuben Bell, Editor editor@realmaineweddings.com

HOW EXCITING!

You are recently engaged and starting to plan your wedding. There are so many moving parts and possibilities. Where do you start? Here are some tips and suggestions to help you get started. Remember: there are no hard and fast rules to wedding planning anymore. Sit down with your partner and determine what the essential pieces are to you. Everything else will fall into place.

Did you know?

Whether you are a native “Mainah” or planning a destination wedding, thank you for choosing to have your wedding here and helping keep Maine moving in this significant way! Weddings in Maine represent $1,000,000 in annual revenue. Everything you spend on venue rentals, catering, hair & makeup, transportation, equipment rentals, photography, videography, etc., supports a small local business. Every dollar goes back into the local economy, and we love you for that.

CURVING YOUR CEREMONY CHAIRS

BUDGETING 101

Every wedding is different, and you’ll discover what is essen-

semi-circle creates a more intimate ceremony and helps all your guests see you. When the chairs are curved ever so slightly around the ceremony spot:

It creates a cozier experience for your guests. Your guests will hear everything better as the sound bounces off the curved rows of chairs. The guests at the ends of each row will be able to see better, and no one feels left out. You’ll be able to see your guests better. It looks beautiful and elegant in photos. And, best of all, the rounded edges of rows make it feel like you’re getting a big hug during the ceremony!

Three things to consider when hiring your wedding planner/coordinator:

1. PERSONALITY. Meet in person or Zoom with them and get to know them. Do you jive with that person and feel comfortable? 2. TRUST. After meeting, do you feel confident they will have your back and make the best decisions for your big day?

3. REVIEWS/REFERENCES. Check out their social media and wedding websites for reviews from past clients!

— Renee Strange-Farnham, Strange Events

catering

It is customary to feed the professionals you have hired for your wedding celebration. This team varies but often includes your event planner, photographer, band or DJ, and officiant. Talk to your caterer about the best way to feed the team efficiently — timing is everything! Your caterer can also walk you through the best options for vendor meals. Sometimes the team eats the same meal that the guests are having. Sometimes a separate buffet area is set up for the team members to eat on their schedule. Figure out what works best for your particular situation.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

Getting Started!

You might think you should be able to compare photographers the way you’d compare plumbers — who can do the job at the price you want to pay and guarantee it will turn out the way you want. Considerations such as personality, products, artistic styles, how working with us will make you feel on your wedding day, and how you’ll feel with the finished product afterward should be on your radar.

We all have different pricing structures, shooting styles, and ways of interacting with our clients. Some photographers charge a low base price and let you add options to customize your finished package. Others have an all-inclusive price, which may or may not include prints, files, albums, or other products.  Some won’t share pricing until they meet with you, and some photographers write custom quotes for each wedding. Your wedding will be different from any other we’ll see this year, so please forgive us if we spend a little more time trying to understand how we can help you before just quoting you a price. You’re not a leaky faucet to us, and you probably want more than just a washer replaced! — Will von Wenzel, Focus Photography

making sense of tippingvendorsyour

STORY BY ABIGAIL WORTHING

OF THE MANY RESOURCES that lead couples to Maine when choosing their wedding destination, the diverse and talented vendor community is among the most attractive. From boutique florists, planners featuring bespoke elements tailored to your tastes, and caterers working with the freshest ingredients available, you don’t need to look far to find a wealth of incredible vendors willing to go above and beyond to make your wedding dreams a reality, at times reaching beyond what you had imagined. With a wedding community that continues to grow and nurtures some of the best, you will be stunned not only on the day of but throughout the entire process.

So how do you thank the people who ensure every box on your list gets checked, every guest leaves with a smile, and you have the day you always dreamed of? Finding the right way to say thank you can be difficult, and it can be hard to know when, if, or how much to tip for these vendors who see you through the months of planning. While not every vendor expects to get a tip, there are a few tried and true guidelines to help you navigate why and how to tip your vendor’s best.

WHY SHOULD YOU PLAN TO TIP YOUR VENDORS?

You’ll be fortunate to work with some of the best small businesses in Maine. Maine isn’t a state known for large chains or “man-behindthe-curtain” companies. Most of the time, you’re planning with the proprietor. Wedding professionals in Maine are artisans and specialists whose faces you will come to know and whose words will come to assure you during your planning process. They are small business owners employing locals and using Maine ingredients to give you the curated experience you came for. In most larger cities, your wedding may be one of hundreds or more in a

Expected Vendors

BANDS: $25/$50 per band member

DJ: $50/$150 or 15% of the total bill

DELIVERY DRIVERS/SET UP CREW:

$5–$20 per person, based on the level of work required and the service received

HAIR/MAKEUP ARTISTS: 15–25% of the total

RECEPTION CATERING STAFF: 18–20% of the final bill, usually included in the final total, but read the contract to make sure

BAR STAFF: 18–20% of the final bill

year, but for many Maine vendors, yours will be an event they know inside and out.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH VENDORS TO TIP?

First, it’s always best to start by reviewing your contract. Some vendors, like caterers or venues with bar staff, will have gratuity as a line item in the contract. Read everything over, and don’t be afraid to ask if you have questions. Make sure to clarify, especially if you’re unsure what the cost or line item may mean. For example, a “service charge” often does not mean “gratuity” and may go back to the company directly or to another service you are receiving. When gratuity is not included, prepare the gratuity ahead of time. In situations where there is staff that should be tipped — referenced in our guide below — confer with your coordinator or event lead on how to dispense the gratuity best.

WHEN SHOULD YOU TIP?

Rather than you or your partner trying to track down all your vendors on your wedding day, entrust your planner or a loved one — think parent, friend, or member of the bridal party — to distribute tips on your behalf. Write cards in advance and have them sorted and in envelopes so they are easy to hand out on your big day. Anyone you miss, drop a card in the mail after the fact! For truly stellar service, follow up after the event by leaving a great review and sharing photos of your wedding with the professionals that helped make your day run smoothly.

WHOM SHOULD YOU TIP? AND HOW MUCH?

When tipping your vendors, remember that there are vendors for whom gratuity is expected and others for whom it is optional but always appreciated. See the examples below for guidelines.

Optional (but appreciated!)

OFFICIANT: $50–$100. If hosting a religious ceremony, donate to the religious organization instead.

PLANNER: 10–20% of the package

CEREMONY MUSICIANS: $5–$20 per musician

RECEPTION MUSICIANS/BAND: $20–$50 per musician

PHOTOGRAPHER: $50–$200 per photographer

DJ: $50–$150

Congratulations!

YOU’VE DECIDED TO GET MARRIED IN MAINE. WONDERING WHAT’S NEXT?

NO WORRIES! WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED WITH OUR TOP 50 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET HITCHED IN MAINE WITHOUT A HITCH!

ILLUSTRATIONS BY JOSH ALVES & LILLY ALVES

If you are planning a wedding in Maine from thousands of miles away, it helps to have a local person steer you in the right direction. If you don’t have friends or family in the area, consider hiring a MAINE WEDDING PLANNER .

SCOPE OUT TRANSPORTATION options early. When you plan your Maine wedding, remember there aren’t multiple airports, bus stations, or public transportation venues for your guests to choose from.

2 LEAVE TIME for people “from away” to get lost.

If people are driving, provide SUGGESTED REST STOPS. I-95 can go on for miles without one, so be prepared.

Coastal Maine is a popular place in the summer, and Route 1 can come to a standstill, making travel time between the church and the reception longer than planned. 5

If you’re flying in from out of state, KEEP YOUR WEDDING ATTIRE ON HAND. Pack it in your carry-on bag and have it pressed when you arrive.

PUT SIGNS UP along the road in rural areas so your guests won’t get lost.

BE AWARE OF TRAFFIC.

CONSIDER PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION. If people are coming in from out of town for your wedding, consider hiring a party bus, van, or even a trolley to take guests from their hotels to the wedding ceremony, to the reception (if it’s in a different location), and back to their hotels. It will save on parking spaces and offer your guests a safe alternative to driving.

& reservations

If you are renting tenting, tables, chairs, etc., doublecheck the details of your RENTAL DELIVERY, especially if you are having a rural wedding. It may be easier for your rental company to deliver your order earlier in the week, giving you more time to set things up.

10

There are many beautiful, natural places in Maine to get married without access to a restroom. Plan accordingly to have RESTROOM TRAILERS available for your guests.

11

Rural areas can lack a large number of available accommodations. Be prepared to BOOK ROOMS AND GUEST HOUSES well in advance.

Planning an island wedding?

Remember these two words: FERRY SCHEDULE. You don’t want your guests to miss the boat.

Give your guests MAINE-MADE FAVORS

It’s an easy way to be unique and send your guests home with a reminder of the time they spent with you.

Want to send your guests home with a small piece of Maine? How about a sapling? The Maine state tree is the EASTERN WHITE PINE. Have your guests plant the tree and help the environment.

If you’re getting married in the fall, book hotel rooms early. Autumn is “LEAF PEEPER” SEASON in New England, and accommodations book up fast with out-of-state tourists.

SERVE LOCAL FAVORITES like Maine microbrews, blueberries, whoopie pies, and fiddleheads. Many people can’t get these things where they live.

Lobster is a Maine tradition, but it’s messy! If you plan to serve lobster, consider serving it “LAZY LOBSTER” style — pre-cracked and ready to eat. It will keep your tables and guests tidy.

Maine summers are short! Be sure to BOOK YOUR VENDORS WELL IN ADVANCE. Twelve to eighteen months in advance is not too early.

21

If you plan a Maine wedding from afar, try to MAKE AT LEAST ONE TRIP to your destination site and meet with all of the companies you have booked.

VISIT THE CEREMONY SITE during the same time of day and year that you have scheduled your ceremony and make notes of external or environmental noise. There’s nothing like a foghorn to ruin the moment.

16 One great way to have an authentic and greener wedding is to PURCHASE SUPPLIES LOCALLY Incorporate Maine food, drink, and favors.

Figure out what flowers are in season in Maine for your wedding. Using SEASONAL FLOWERS in your bouquet and decor will save you money and will still look beautiful.

If you are planning a destination wedding in Maine, a great place to start is to CONTACT A LOCAL WEDDING PLANNER in the area you’d like to be wed. They’ll know all of the helpful details to get you going!

Maine is just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. CONSIDER A WINTER WEDDING in the woods or on the ski slopes of one of Maine’s premiere ski resorts.

OMENTS

wedding photography

Does your Maine wedding photographer have an ASSISTANT? A second shooter is a valuable asset on the wedding day.

Have a PHOTO BOOTH at your wedding. It’s still fun, and people love it. There are many great photo booth rental companies that offer a variety of options.

Since going barefoot on the beach is a norm, offer your guests PRE-MOISTENED TOWELETTES so that they can wash their feet before putting their shoes back on. 26

Planning a backyard wedding? Call the local town hall to see if there is any CONSTRUCTION PLANNED for the area around the time of your wedding. Summer in Maine is also road construction season.

It’s also a good idea when planning a backyard wedding to LET THE NEIGHBORS KNOW what time it’ll take place, so they’ll be sure to cease mowing their lawns during the ceremony.

BRING A PAIR OF SHOES to wear during the scenic photoshoot on the rocky coast of Maine. The last thing you need on your wedding day is a sprained ankle.

Planning a beach wedding?

NIX THE IDEA OF A LONG TRAIN on your wedding dress. Delicate fabric doesn’t mix well with sand and seaweed. If you are going to take beach photos, make sure your BUSTLE keeps your dress from dragging in the sand.

Beach weddings have a casual feel, so why not SAY “NO” TO STILETTOS and wingtips and choose flip-flops?

The weather can change quickly in Maine. If you plan on having an OUTDOOR WEDDING, have an inside space ready as a backup.

Wear

SUNSCREEN and bring SUNGLASSES. Many weddings are outside, and you don’t want photos of you to show you sunburned and squinting.

Planning an outdoor wedding? Rent a SOUND SYSTEM. You want your guests to be able to hear your heartfelt vows.

If you’re worried about bugs, put a bottle of INSECT REPELLENT on each table at the reception and make use of citronella candles when decorating.

If your ceremony is in a church without a cooling system or outside in a hot area, have PAPER FANS for your guests to cool themselves.

Two words. MUD SEASON. If you’re getting married outside in the spring, beware.

42 Summer evenings can be chilly in Maine. Plan on renting PATIO HEATERS if people are going to be outside in the dark, especially on the coast, where it can be windy.

On the coast it can get especially chilly at night in summer. Remind guests to PACK A SWEATER.

BLACK FLY season runs from mid-May to early July. MOSQUITOS can be an issue, too. Try not to schedule your ceremony during the buggiest times of day — like dusk — if you are having an outdoor wedding.

BRING AN UMBRELLA

If it’s not going to rain, you can use it as shade.

licenses & permits

BOTH PEOPLE GETTING MARRIED must visit the town office in person to apply for a marriage license. If either of you were married before, bring a copy of your divorce decree. You do not need to apply in the town where the wedding is planned. Different rules apply depending on where you are from, so check out maine. gov for information.

A Maine marriage license is valid for 90 DAYS

Licensed to Wed

GETTING MARRIED IN MAINE? YOU NEED A LICENSE IN ORDER TO MAKE IT LEGAL. HERE’S HOW.

If you are getting married at a PUBLIC PLACE, such as a park or a beach, check to see if you need permits, especially for alcohol.

Getting married in the OFF-SEASON (aka winter) may save you money on the reception site and the vendors you choose.

W E KNOW WH AT WE’RE TA L K I N

There are only so many Saturdays in the summer! Consider having a wedding on ANOTHER DAY OF THE WEEK, like a Friday or Sunday — especially if the venue you want to use is already booked.

It is an urban myth that throwing rice at weddings is harmful to birds, but it does make a very real mess. Think about another FESTIVE KIND OF SEND-OFF: blow bubbles, play musical instruments, throw birdseed, or light sparklers.

FILE MARRIAGE INTENTIONS: The first step in obtaining a marriage license is to record the marriage intentions in writing. Both of you must sign the intentions stating you are free to marry.

WHERE TO FILE: If you are both Maine residents, file your intentions at the municipal office in the town or city where at least one of you resides.

If only one of you resides in Maine, then both of you must file your intentions at the municipal office in the town or city where you hold residency.

If neither of you is a resident of Maine, you can file intentions at any municipal office in Maine.

If either of you happen to be divorced, remember to bring a copy of your divorce decree. If you don’t have one, this can be obtained from the district court where the decree was issued. This needs to be an original document issued by the court with an embossed seal, not a photocopy. Present this to the clerk when you apply for your license and you will be good to go!

Once your intentions are filed and the license is issued, you are free to marry anywhere within the state.

TUOBA sage advice

ISSUING LICENSE: There is no waiting period in the state of Maine. Once your intentions to marry are filed, the license may be issued immediately with your signatures. The license must be used within 90 days (not three months) from the date the intentions were filed and can only be used in the state of Maine.

AFTER CEREMONY: The person who performed the ceremony is responsible for completing the appropriate section of your marriage license. This includes obtaining the signatures of two witnesses (traditionally your maid of honor and best man) plus the signature of the officiant.

FILLING OUT & FILING: The marriage license must be completed in black ink only. The officiant is responsible for filing the license with the municipal clerk at the municipality where the license was issued. They have seven days from when the ceremony took place to file. Once it’s filed, you’re officially married.

Once the 2 minutes are complete, transfer the slices to the ice bath you prepared earlier. Discard the water in the saucepan. Add 4 more cups of water and 4 cups of sugar to the saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Keep stirring to prevent the sugar from burning on the bottom. Bring the heat to medium-low, then bring to a boil. Add the orange slices. Let these simmer for 60 minutes, or until the rinds are semi-translucent, gently moving the oranges to ensure they are fully coated with sugar. Transfer the orange slices to a cooling rack with a baking sheet underneath to catch the sugar water. Let dry for 24 hours. Transfer this orange sugar water to a sealed container and refrigerate. This will be the syrup you’ll use in the cocktail. Once the slices have dried, dip them in a bowl of granulated sugar as a garnish.

TRENDING TUNES

COUPLES ARE PUTTING MORE INTENTION THAN EVER INTO THE MUSIC THAT SHAPES THEIR CELEBRATIONS

THE SONGS CHOSEN for key moments of a wedding ceremony and reception do more than fill the air — they set the mood, tell a story, and reflect how couples feel about the day and the people gathered to share it. From the walk down the aisle to the final dance, a thoughtfully curated playlist becomes part of the memory.

To get a sense of what’s resonating for the coming season, we turned to Maine wedding industry pros DJ Kevin Duran Jr. of Double Platinum Celebrations, DJ Magnus Savage of Savage Wedding Co., and DJ Jason Strycharz of The Music Man DJ Service. They share the tracks couples are loving right now and the music trends poised to define next year’s celebrations.

FIRST DANCE: Couples are now choosing songs that are more meaningful to them, with a focus on acoustic versions of their favorites. Sometimes they even choose more upbeat songs and include lots of choreographed first dances. Couples continue to try to avoid the overplayed songs.

PARENT DANCES: I have noticed a shift from slower songs to more upbeat selections.  These songs are still mostly well-known and familiar to the majority of the

wedding guests. More stepparents are also involved in these dances.

CEREMONY: Couples are choosing lots of instrumental covers, for both preceremony and the actual ceremony selections. There are some artists who also offer “wedding” versions of their songs.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve leaned into only doing weddings that fit my style, vibe, and creative spirit. I didn’t know it then, but there was a whole niche market waiting for me. With this, I have recently seen several changes in the weddings I’m a part of.

First, couples are ditching tradition and the pressure to please everyone else and building a wedding day they actually want.

Next, the dance music vibe is disappearing. Clients are no longer looking for slow boring fades from one cliché wedding song to another; it’s how many bangers can you stack in a single night & how creatively can you put them all together.

I’m continuing to see couples really focus on the dancing portion of weddings. It is very uncommon for me to do things like the garter/ bouquet tosses, generations dance or other formalities. The weddings I have been a part of are really streamlined, with the formal dances (first dance and parent dances) being front-loaded before dinner to maximize dancing afterwards.

Other areas I am finding couples streamlining their weddings are continuing to have a “low-key” cake-cutting with the photographer rather than an announcement and song. Many couples have told me they don’t want this to ruin the momentum of the dance floor.

Lastly, a trend I’ve been seeing this year is the incorporation of the Mother/ Daughter dance. I’ve received a lot of comments from my couples saying “the mother of the bride never gets any recognition.” This year alone, I have had half a dozen couples want to honor the mother of the bride with her own dance.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

A lot of couples are skipping the tradition of visiting every table during dinner and opting for a thank-you speech, thus getting to the party faster.  This has led to more 2.5+ hour dance floors than ever.

The best celebrations end with high energy, a packed dance floor and everyone screaming “one more song,” not because the last exhausted guest finally left after a four-hour dancing marathon. Two hours of high energy and a full dance floor beats four hours of slow decline every single time.

Often overlooked by many couples is how many music areas they require for a specific venue. This could include their ceremony in one location, cocktail hour in a second, dinner and speeches in a third, and finally dancing in a fourth location. From a DJ perspective, this requires additional equipment and setup time to accomplish this. My company really wants all of these sound sources set up before guests arrive so that we’re not breaking down one system and setting it up in another location. I think many couples think a standard DJ package for ceremony and reception is enough, when in fact we often add multiple speakers to fully accommodate their needs.

WHAT THEY’RE PLAYING

DJ JASON

FIRST DANCE

John Vincient III, “Next to You”

Myles Smith, “Stargazing (Moonlight Version)”

Elvis Presley, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” FATHER/DAUGHTER

Chris Stapleton, “I Hope You Dance”

Beatles, “In My Life”

Zac Brown Band, “The Man Who Loves You the Most”

MOTHER/SON

Phil Collins, “You’ll Be In My Heart”

Bruce Springsteen, “When You Need Me”

Celine Dion, “Because You Loved Me”

DJ KEVIN

FIRST DANCE

Taylor Swift, “Lover”

Leon Bridges, “Beyond”

Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood, “I’m Gonna Love you” FATHER/DAUGHTER

Alan Jackson, “You’ll Always Be My Baby” The Temptations, “My Girl”

Camila Cabello, “First Man” MOTHER/SON

Adele, “Sweetest Devotion” Van Morrison, “Days Like This”

Rascal Flatts, “My Wish”

DJ MAGNUS

I don’t often see clear trends when it comes to formal dances.  I find the songs that are chosen tend to have personal meaning to the couple or are just really loved for no reason at all.

ALL-INCLUSIVE Choosing the Right

AAll-Inclusive resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean have become extremely popular for both honeymoons and destination weddings, but it should be known that they’re not all created equal. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so choosing the right all-inclusive resort for your style can be a complex equation. To get you started, we’ve broken down the basics for you here. So, take some time to discuss as a couple which of these are must-have features, and then let your travel advisor guide you to your ideal all-inclusive resort.

CLEANLINESS

CLEANLINESS

In today’s world, cleanliness is a critical factor in choosing your resort. It’s important to feel safe and secure at your destination so that you can relax and enjoy your wedding or honeymoon for all it’s worth. Most resorts have recently upped their game when it comes to onsite hygiene, implementing new health and safety protocols that include reduced capacity, touchless check-ins, frequent cleaning of public spaces and much more.

RESORT F ORMAT

RESORT FORMAT

Most all-inclusive resorts fall into three categories: family-friendly, a dults-only a nd c ouples-only. Family-friendly resorts cater to everyone, although some offer sections within the property that are restricted to adults. If you definitely do not want kids around on the honeymoon, check out the adults-only or couples-only options. The difference between those two: couples-only is more romantic, while adults-only caters more to partiers.

Sunset in the Seychelles

LATE-NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

Some resorts really heat up after dark. If you are a social couple looking for after-dinner excitement, focus on a resort that offers theme nights, live music and stage shows. Your nightlife options can range from a quiet lobby bar to sports bars, karaoke lounges and full-scale nightclubs. Then again, some resorts keep the late-night revelry down, allowing you to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere more.

ONSITE EXTRAS

Some couples choose their resort based solely on whether or not it includes a spa and/or golf course. Spa treatments are almost always an additional cost, but the size and style of spa facilities vary significantly. If the idea of a relaxing day of pampering at the spa is on your agenda, it is good to know the options in advance so you can plan accordingly. As for golf, many of the deluxe and luxury all-inclusive resorts include golf green fees as part of the package. Some resorts even have their own onsite courses designed by celebrity architects.

ACTIVITIES

Most resorts include dedicated staff who help facilitate and plan a variety of onsite activities. Some resorts focus on active options (pool games, sand volleyball, yoga), while others center on educational or cultural activities (cooking classes, dance lessons, mixology). But almost all beachfront resorts offer watersports programs, ranging from non-motorized options like kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding and snorkeling to excursions like scuba diving and waterskiing.

DINING

If you are a foodie, this should be your focus. Choices here range from basic buffet to gourmet. Forget about the total number of restaurants offered and focus on the variety and style of food. How many restaurants are buffet versus a la carte (menu), and what style of food is offered? Are reservations required? Is there a dress code? Is room service included? Do you have any special dietary restrictions? The more you know, the more you’ll enjoy night after night of decadent dining.

THE TRUE VALUE OF A Travel Advisor

Your vacation time is valuable. In today’s unpredictable world, it can be challenging to make the most of your time away. That’s why it helps to have a travel professional on your side, someone who enhances every facet of your journey through a combination of experience, expertise and connections. Travel advisors have always been helpful to couples planning their weddings and honeymoons but in this new environment, we are especially crucial — you can rest assured that your travel advisor will provide you with all the information you need on destination entry and COVID-19 testing require-ments. Here are some of the many benefits an expert advisor will provide.

oneymoon registries have been around for over a decade now, yet some couples shy away, feeling that it’s a tacky way to ask for money. No matter how you slice it, a registry is a polite way of asking for gifts; a honeymoon registry simply asks for them in a form that leads to amazing memories. Phoenix Aurora Photography

Effortless, elegant imagery for couples who want to be fully present on their wedding day. Your wedding is more than a timeline and a day to photograph. It’s a collection of fleeting moments, quiet emotions, and beautiful connections. My approach to your wedding is calm, intuitive, and refined, allowing your day to unfold naturally. I focus on honest storytelling: the in-between glances, the unplanned laughter, the moments that feel just as meaningful years from now as they did in the moment. With gentle guidance when needed and space when it matters most, you’ll never feel posed or rushed— only supported! 207-852-4128 • www.phoenixauroraphotography.com

Savage Wedding Co. Photography

The idea at Savage Wedding Co. is simple: the perfect wedding isn’t made for social media — it’s made for you. Personality comes first, nothing feels forced, and normal isn’t part of the plan. I’m Magnus Savage, Wedding DJ and Photographer. I don’t look like a traditional wedding vendor — no shirt and tie, no faked professionalism. Instead of trying to fit in, I choose to be myself. Most wedding days, I show up in a branded t-shirt and shorts, comfortable, present, and fully focused on the job. The approach is relaxed. The work is not. 207-554-7335 • www.savageweddingco.com
