HISTORY In 1986, Washington architects William R. Drury and Carl R. Shaw, Jr. joined forces to establish a collaborative architectural firm committed to excellence in design. The vision and values of these founding partners continue to guide and sustain the success of Architecture, Inc. today. Since its founding, the firm has grown into a national practice. Originally rooted in the education and healthcare sectors, the firm has steadily expanded its expertise to include commercial, hospitality, life sciences, sports & recreation, senior living, and multifamily residential projects. Our experience includes professional WNBA, NBA, and NHL facilities; upscale fitness clubs and studios; build-to-suit specialty facilities; as well as sports and recreation amenities shared by schools and communities. In addition to the professional and collegiate work, we have a large healthcare segment well versed in physical therapy and sports medicine. These projects range in scale from small interior renovations and rebranding to comprehensive interior fit out and groundup new construction.
Architecture, Inc. has worked with Monumental Sports on site selection, programming, and review of comparable facilities across the various leagues.
