After one call, I really pondered, could someone with a Home Economics degree get accepted to Medical School? By this time I was thirty years old and the truth was that Home Economics had no rigorous science training as part of the curriculum. I took a chance and leased my home and moved back into the college dorms to complete the training I needed to get into medical school. This is where it gets kind of tricky. There is a point in everyone’s life where the Universe is going to grant your wishes but in return, you have to heal something to achieve the goal. I had reached that point. My childhood was laced with incest trauma. When it came time to go to medical school I asked for my parent’s financial support. In short, my father wanted a bargain. A bargain, that was unthinkable. I went to the medical school and communicated my situation and my financial hardship and they found the money to loan me to go to school. This also formulated where I would take my specialty and help others.
