REACH MISSIONS AT THE CROSSING CHURCH
January-March 2026

While in the Philippines with Convoy of Hope, our team saw how the local team serves communities through sustainable efforts, using data and nutritional programs to help people provide for their own needs. They also experienced how Convoy has built meaningful connections with local leaders, while experiencing the warmth and hospitality of the people they met.

While in Central America with Global Lift Collective, our team witnessed the beauty of the local church in action, serving its community through intentional partnerships and meeting real needs like leadership training, savings groups, community mobilization, and clean water. What makes this work so powerful is that it’s not one organization doing it alone. It’s a collective - Living Water, Enlace, Tearfund, and Hope Internationaleach bringing their unique strengths, united around one mission: to equip the local church to lead transformation in its own community.

The Crossing Students had an incredible time in Tijuana with YWAM’s Homes of Hope, where 20 students and 5 leaders came together to serve a family of five by building them a home. “In just two days, our team worked tirelessly to get the house up, demonstrating teamwork, perseverance, and compassion. Beyond the build, we spent intentional time in God’s Word, debriefing, and reflecting on all that He was teaching us through the experience. Our students were truly amazing, they gave their very best to serve the family and boldly shined the light of Jesus in everything they did.”

This quarter, we took intentional time to connect with our incredible local partners here in Las Vegas. By sharing meals and spending time together, we were able to be reminded that strong partnerships are what help create lasting change. On the next few pages, you’ll get to know our partners a little more, who they are, what they do, and how they’re making a difference right here in our city.

The Just One Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to food, resources, and supportive services for families across Southern Nevada. We are built on two powerful pillars: Food for All and Community Connect Food for All increases access to groceries and fresh food for families experiencing food insecurity today, while Community Connect provides wraparound services that connect individuals and families to the resources they need for long-term stability. Through these efforts and strong community partnerships, The Just One Project works to ensure neighbors can access food and support with dignity

Casa de Luz is a faith-based community resource center serving families in Las Vegas neighborhoods experiencing poverty, crime, and instability. Through youth centers, family support services, food distribution, and relational outreach, Casa brings light, love, and hope while helping families move toward stability and opportunity This spring, Casa will open its fifth neighborhood center at The Crossing Midtown, expanding youth mentoring, family resources, and outreach to more families in the Spring Valley area.
Family Promise of Las Vegas works to prevent and end homelessness for families with children by providing shelter, housing assistance, and comprehensive support services that help families achieve long-term stability. Through programs such as our Motel Shelter Program, Transitional Bridge Housing, and Family Stabilization services, we help families quickly regain safe housing while addressing barriers to financial independence. Our newly developed Family Navigation Center expands our ability to provide workforce development, case management, and supportive services under one roof. By partnering with community organizations across Southern Nevada, we are helping families move from crisis to stability and longterm independence.
Club Christ empowers youth living in low-income apartment communities across Las Vegas through neighborhood-based Learning Centers that provide tutoring, literacy intervention, leadership development, and mentorship. Rooted in the love of Jesus, we also offer Bible study and spiritual discipleship to help students grow in faith, character, and purpose We serve predominantly Black and Hispanic students from single-parent households, helping close reading gaps and build pathways toward high school graduation and workforce readiness. Our current priorities are sustaining our 4 current Learning Centers and launching a new 5th Learning Center in partnership with LVMPD to expand both academic and spiritual support in another high-need community.
Refuge for Women Las Vegas exists to provide a place where women can experience safety, healing, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
The vision of Fellowship of Christian Athletes is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
Olive Crest’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by strengthening, equipping, and restoring children and families in crisis… One Life at a Time®. Our vision is “A Strong Family for Every Child.” We serve children and youth impacted by abuse, neglect, and trafficking, along with their families working to build safe, stable homes. Currently, we are working to build a campus for the children and families we serve in order to meet the growing needs of our community and to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Project 150, a Nevada non-profit, provides free basic necessities to over 7000 local homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students yearround. Convoy of Hope is a humanitarian, faithbased organization on a mission to feed the hungry and bring help and hope to communities that need it most.
Join us for our Spring Serve Day on April 25th as we come together to make a tangible difference in the lives of families in need. During this event, we will be assembling 10,000 family hygiene kits in partnership with Convoy of Hope, an organization dedicated to providing relief and support to communities around the world.
This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals, families, and groups of all ages and abilities to serve together and make an immediate impact, no prior experience needed.

Our team had a fantastic time connecting with the Midtown community at the neighborhood party hosted by Casa de Luz. As they gear up to open their Spring Valley location at The Crossing Midtown, we joined in serving and meeting neighbors, building relationships, and celebrating community together.

The Crossing Students stepped up to serve locally during their Spring Break. They were able to serve at Casa de Luz in the food pantry. It was an incredible opportunity for our students to make a tangible difference, serve others, and experience the joy of giving back firsthand.

Our team was invited to attend the grand opening of The Just One Project’s No-Cost Community Market at Bonanza High School. This was a great time of celebrating and witnessing the launch of a new resource providing students and families with consistent access to fresh food and essentials.

In March, our REACH volunteer team joined together to serve alongside The Just One Project at one of the Pop Up & Give Mobile Markets at Kenny Guinn Middle School. This was a great time of supporting the community and strengthening relationships amongst our volunteer team.
