Directors Notes - Clayton Harris

Welcome to the Riverside Racquet Report, a new monthly newsletter that will focus on the happenings at the Racquets facility!

In this first issue, most of the emphasis will be on Platform Tennis as that season is just beginning. Additionally, staff and the Racquet Sports Committee have been working on answering questions presented at the open meeting held in September, which is included as well.

We hope this newsletter will be a great resource whether you're a long-time participant or just getting started and want to learn more about Riverside’s racquet programs.

What is Platform Tennis?

Platform Tennis started in 1928 in Scarsdale, New York by neighbors who were searching for a winter racquet sport close to home. The court is smaller than a tennis court and is surrounded by tightly strung wire fencing (or screens) that adds an element of strategy and fun as the ball is allowed to be played off the screens Additionally, courts are on a raised platform, allowing heaters under the deck to keep the playing surface playable no matter what our Bozeman weather throws at you. Come on out this winter to experience this game of finesse, patience, and strategy

Interested in Lessons? We are here to serve you!

This winter we have 2 pros available to serve you! Both Clayton and Quarney (Q) are available to help you take your tennis and platform tennis game to the next level. Call the Racquets Cabin at 406 587 9312
