Brown Brick House
The Brown Brick House is a project that consisted of fellow classmates designinga floor plan in Revit. Studentsthen had to choose a floor plan and model it in SketchUp. Each floor plan had predetermined specifications such as materials and wall heights. The floor plan I chose specified that the exterior would have brown brick and a grey roof. To catch viewers' attention, I decided to mix herringbone brick pattern and vertical brick pattern to create a more detailed exterior, along with arch Tudor styled windows to amplify the beauty in this simple house.A major challengefaced in this project was findinga way to follow the predetermined specifications of the floor plan while straying away from a simple design. To find inspiration and overcome this challenge,I studied various brick houses in my surroundingneighborhoodand implemented features I deemed desirable to my design.

Hamilton Park VortexMidterm
The Hamilton Park Vortex was a midterm project that required to design a pavilion that was formed by the manipulation of an organically shaped base arch. My design was made with the intention of being an addition to the Hamiliton Park to increase its attraction value. By utilizingvacant space, the park would have two scenic views; the Seatle City Skyline and the Space Needle. The design of my pavilion evolved into a vortex shape that graduallyopens from the entrance to one side, creating a scenic and otherworldly view of the space needle. Challenges faced in this project was the autogenerated site broughtfrom cadmapper. The lines and faces that had elevations overlapped each other creating a messy representation of my site. To combat this issue, I manually adjustthese lines by locking the new lines I was creating to ensure the lines were drawn on the correct faces/elevations. This additional work ensured a neater and more accurate representation of my site.

Gym and Study CenterFinal Project
This project consisted of Designing an additional Facility to the South Texas Technology Campus. This new buildingwas designed with the idea that this new facility would enrich the STC student body's experience. To achieve this, I designed the new facility as a gym and study center for studentswho need to destress, stay fit, or simply study as they wait for the STC bus.Additionally, I wanted to also offer a means for students to upkeep their hygiene by addinglocker rooms with showers to my design. As any design, I faced challengesin this project. My most challengingbeing the decision to model the entirety of the site by myself. I had made this decision based off the idea that I would be more efficient working on Sketchup rather than Revit, given the short span of time to work on this project. I overcame this obstacle by simply time managing throughoutthe week and repurposingwindows and doors I modeled to reduce time used. I also would copy and paste certain items like parking lots and adjusted them in the effort to complete the site.
